- Reward credit is available to new consumer customers only. Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
This account has a $18 monthly fee. This is waived if you do any of the following:
- Minimum Daily Balance of $2,000 in the account or
- Combined Daily Balance of $7,500 in consumer linked checking or savings deposit accounts
Early Account Termination Fee
You forfeit the bonus if the account is closed before the bonus posts. Should post at the end of the fifth statement cycle.
Our Verdict
A lot of requirements and they need to be done for three statement cycles to get the bonus. It also isn’t so easy to keep the account fee free. That being said there is a nice $1,000 in credit card funding and people in California are always complaining there aren’t enough bank bonuses in that area so I will be adding this to the best checking bonuses.

Anyone Received a 1099 From these guys?
Gadget 🕵️
Not yet, via mail. Online access is dead for me.
I suspect since, there are debit cards associated with it, we may not.
Received mine today. $150 exactly. TIN not needed on the services I use…. CK can suck it with that crap.
It’s back

Is it? got a link?
derp, sorry. I missed the big “(NO LONGER AVAILABLE)” on the page _facepalm_
No problem
Another account closing DP: Zeroed out both checking and savings. Checking account was auto closed, had to SM to get savings closed.
What did you use for the deposits?
Dead
I pulled the balance down to zero on Friday and today being Saturday I received an automatic robo email stating the Checking account was closed. But not for savings? I still have online access and see both accounts.
Will attempt to send a SM on Tuesday to confirm and close the savings. Will be 180 day open.
FYI, I sent a webform email to confirm both savings and checking was closed. Turns out only the Checking was autoclosed.
They replied back stating both where closed and then I immediately got the savings account auto close. So if you have their MM or savings and didn’t request to formally close it, it’s probably not.
They will close the account if you have a $0 balance. Confirmed through SM and phone.
Be careful if you’re not planning to close it.
2nd this. I wish other banks could start doing this. No more awkward phone calls with CSR anymore
aw nerts! Was planning to sign up for this next week.
Open 9/3/19. $150 bonus posted 2/3/2020. Used Sofi for DD.
FYI: Went thru the app process to point of funding. No CC or debit card funding option available now. Many dps showing is not for CA only – guess I should look at other state-specific deals to see if any are actually nation-wide.
Note for old fart retirees: you’ll need most recent employer phone # and your date of hire – took me a while to dig around and find that info!
