When Total Rewards became Caesars Rewards a new benefit was added for tier points earned in 2019 (one free night for every 5,000 tier points earned up to 7 free nights). @HGTravelPodcast has reported receiving this same deal for tier points earned in 2020 via e-mail. The free nights must be booked by 1/31/22. My understanding is that this is now a standard benefit and will be offered each year.
I used my free night on the 4th at Caesar’s when rates were $250+. You just call VIP Services and tell them you are using the 5K tier free night. Each code has different capacity restrictions (5k tier, 10k tier, etc.) so if they say there’s no availability, have them try each code.
Used last year’s during CES when rates were $500+ at Caesar’s, pretty valuable if you use them at the right time.
OTOH, many people have free nights already just based on past gaming. I used to earn about 2,000 tier credits a year, since I’m a low roller, and would get free nights Sunday-Thursday routinely in Vegas, Tahoe, and Reno, and sometimes weekend nights at the low end hotels (Harrah’s, Rio, and the then-Imperial Palace). It’s nice they are now guaranteeing that benefit, but don’t think they won’t find a way to claw it back somehow if they find you’re just using the rooms.
eh, Vegas hotels are already heavily subsidized. It was pretty great staying at Paris and Caesar’s Palace for like $20-$30/night
Weird, I’ve earned a bunch of tier points and still haven’t received the free nights.
Thanks!
How does this jive with the Caesars credit card. If I get free nights I will put everyday spend on this credit card.
I currently use Radisson Rewards for everyday spend. They give the most points
The credit card earns rewards credits, not tier credits. Two different things. You generally only earn tier credits through gaming, or spending money on rooms/meals/etc at the Caesars properties.
I use a 2x cashback card instead. Citi DoubleCash works really well.
