Our Verdict
For people that have already opened the personal checking and business accounts with Capital One 360, this is another nice bonus. The downside is that you’ll need a business to apply for this account. They also required you to fax them some documents to prove your businesses existence, what is required is dependent on the type of business you have. You can view those requirements by clicking here.
I have a business so I could apply for this account and receive the bonus. At the moment I’m going to pass on this deal as I don’t have the time required to go back and forth with sending documents. I’ll most likely complete this offer when I have more time available to me. I’m also interested to see if applying for this business account results in a personal ChexSystems inquiry or not.
Capital One (not 360) also has a business bank promotion for $250, although the requirements to get the bonus and keep the account fee free are a little bit more difficult to meet. We’ve also created a business section on our bank bonus page.

I’m trying to sign up for this offer but when I fill out the application it says my reference code has expired. The problem is that the offer doesn’t appear to require a reference code, so I left that field blank.
Anyone have any idea how to overcome this glitch?
Thanks!
It appears this bonus is dead….
Signed up my business for an account. $100 did not post right away as advertised. Called the next day and they posted two $50 dollar bonus payments right then and there for me – it was a painless experience dealing with their customer service departments. 10/10 – would bonus again.
Thanks, David. Looks like an easy one to do.
You can get the bonus even if you don’t do all the documents. I am unsure if there are any negative ramifications of this though.
I signed up intending to do the paperwork, only to realize after I had signed up that the information they needed I did not have, even though I do run my own business.
After a couple months, they closed the account, but they send the full account balance, including the $100 bonus, to the account I funded with when I opened.
I had the identical thing happen to me. I do run a side business with five-figure yearly income, but I’m a sole proprietor and don’t have a DBA name or other paperwork they requested. I even offered to send in my Schedule C showing my business income, but they said that wouldn’t work.
I got notified that my account would be closed because of lack of documentation. When I noticed this week that it was still open, I realized I had never verified my external bank account. Went in, verified the deposits from March, and this morning the $200 I’d deposited plus $100 bonus and the few cents of interest were in my external account.
So I am looking to sign up for this promotion and just formed my sole proprietorship. I have my EIN and confirmation document from the IRS but that’s about it. Do you know what they were wanting exactly for the “Copy of Current Business or Occupational License”? Thanks!
