After more than two years of being announced the Capital One DCA Airport Landings Lounge will open tomorrow. There will be your typical airport lounge with a grab and go section next to the lounge that is open to the public. Venture and Spark Miles cardholders will pay $45, while Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders will have unlimited complimentary access and free entry for one guest per visit, all other Capital One cardholders will pay $90 per visit. In addition Venture V and Venture X business cardholders will receive 50% off the grab and go items. Details of the lounge are as follows:
- 5,483 square feet
- Located after security at the intersection of National Hall and Concourse D
My experience with airport lounges is dated, and also limited to the old-school airline-specific clubs. So, is Capital One’s prohibition on use by arriving pax w/o cnctn typical?
“We will not admit cardholders or guests with boarding passes for arriving flights with no connection.”
Almost all lounges allow departing pax (upto 3 h before departure), NOT arriving pax…
Where’s all the supposed info about pricing, etc. coming from?
Answering my own question: https://capitalonetravel.com/airport-lounges/lounge/?airportId=DCA&loungeId=LND:12BC1CDE-1C2A-4905-898C-128DE43CD057
Niiice! Just in time, for, you know, the new guy!
Will be there. Wanna have a meetup?
So even if I have a Venture X I still have to pay for grab-and-go items? (Just half off)
Lame.
Grab and go is separate from the lounge part and yes it is 50% off for VX. The lounge area is all inclusive food (small plates) and beverage and, from what I saw on view from the wing, the grab and go is basically the same food but packaged in a meal size
That is not how the one works at IAD. At IAD, if you are in, you can take anything you want to go. I would be surprised if this one works differently.
This one works differently. Capital One distinguishes this as a “Landing,” as distinct from a “Lounge.”
It is divided into two parts: a restaurant area open only to C1 cardmembers (where food is free, like a lounge), and a grab-and-go area open to the public (where VX users get 50% off).
This is helpful. Thanks. That’s kind of a raw deal.
It’s probably better food bc it’s Jose Andres. And honestly people pig out too much at the other ones. This will prevent them having to do cuts in quality and prevent too much of a line. I see it as a good thing.
Planning to visit just for Jose Andres (WCF)…
So no free food even if you have the venture x card? I read it as free entry to order off a restaurant menu and to get 50% off grab and go stuff.
Wrong. 50% the grab and go. If you sit at the bar or restaurant it is free.
Hasn’t it always been 2 guests? Now it is one? I’d argue that’s great.
Capital One distinguishes this as a “Landing,” as distinct from a “Lounge.” The entry policies are different.
Retired teacher can’t resist: “After more than two years of being announced …” should be “More than two years after being announced …”
Thank you for your service (not sarcastic).
Lol… military gets it all the time. Good to know other group affiliations are getting recognized for their service even after the slogan has worn thin.
Worn thin? Lol you are channeling Larry David

Venture holders get 2 free Capital One lounge visits in 2024; can we use it here?
Yes if you pay $45.
