Original Post:
Capital One has launched a new premium business card called ‘Spark Travel Elite’ and it has launched with a sign up bonus of 250,000 miles. Unfortunately you can’t apply for the card directly, you need a relationship manager to be able to apply but the card will be open to more soon.

Card Basics

- Sign up bonus of up to 250,000 points. Broken down as follows:
- 50,000 miles after you spend $10,000 within the first three months
- Additional 200,000 miles (total of 250,000) when you spend $50,000 within the first six months
- Card earns at the following rates:
- 10x miles on hotels and car rentals when booking through Capital One’s travel portal
- 5x miles on flights when booking through Capital One’s travel portal
- 2x miles on all other purchases
- 10,000 miles anniversary bonus
- $300 annual travel credit for bookings through Capital One’s travel portal
- Lounge access:
- Priority pass lounge access
- Capital one lounge access
- $100 TSA PreCheck or Global Entry credit every 4 years
- Existing Spark cardholders can apply for Spark Travel Elite, Spark Cash Plus cardholders cannot apply for Spark Travel Elite
Our Verdict
Card comes with $400 in relatively easy to use credits/miles to offset the annual fee, could be worth keeping long term for people that need lounge access. This card will be worth applying for people that can meet the large spend requirement for the sign up bonus. It’s unclear when it will become available for everybody to apply for.
Capital One has also partnered with Melio to allow business cardholders to pay vendors that don’t normally accept credit card payments (2.9% fee).

William Charles the public link you posted in your last update now shows:
150k miles after $20.000 in the first 3 months
150k miles after $100.000 in the first 6 months
Including the 2% you earn, it basically becomes a 5% card on 100k spend (since AF is offset by credits)
Edit: should have checked my other to-do-later browser tabs first; see now that you already have a post on this update – https://www.doctorofcredit.com/capital-one-venture-x-business-card-150000-300000-signup-bonus-20000-100000-spend-required/
so disregard my comment here…
I’ll add a link
anyone sucessfully funded bank accounts using this card?
Me and my wife are french. 700/750 credit score. Used 10 diifferent banks : no issues on approvals. Capital One credit cards, never approved and hard pull. So if you are not american, reconsider before applying. (EVEN WHEN MY WIFE had a savings accounts she was never approved)
Can anyone tell me if that is possible to upgrading Business Spark Miles to Business Venture X? I was thinking to apply for Spak Miles since I got an offer from Capital One and then later next year upgrade to Biz Venture X (don’t have 30K to spend for 3 months to get 150K points lol).
Any DP’s on Capital One allowing a payment through Melio or Plastiq for a HELOC using the Venture X Business, its a MC.
Does the Venture X Business report to personal credit report?
No
almost all cap1 biz cards DO report
This one doesn’t
C1 biz cards that are charge cards do not report. The only 2 C1 biz cards that are charge cards are this card (VX Biz) and Spark Cash Plus.
DP: Approved using a real business with an EIN. Note that I’ve been declined in the past when applying for both the Venture and Venture X personal cards.
P1 and P2 both declined. Both have Venture X.
Declined, have the Venture X but I guess they don’t care.
Applied for this card. Got declined but gave me the option to choose Spark Miles Select with a limit of $30K. Thats just so weird.
They can trust me with $30K limit on Spark Miles select but cannot approve Venture X business ??
That’s only 1.5 CB and reports to personal unlike the version you applied for just fyi
I am aware. I rejected the offer from them for the Spark Miles Select. I was just confused how they can trust me with a $30K limit but at the same are rejecting my cap 1X business application. There are some other requirements ( maybe because i have cap1 Personal).
