The Offer

Direct Link to offer

  • Capital One shopping portal is offering $75 when you sign up for a Magnifi investing annual subscription ($132 cost) or $35 when you signup for a monthly subscription ($14/month cost).
  • There’s also an Amex Offer for $14 back on $14 purchase which can be done four times. Enroll by 31/31/23 and use by 7/31/23.

Our Verdict

Looks like a $35 moneymaker on the monthly signup since the Amex Offer will cover the monthly cost (though there might be sales tax).

You’ll probably have to give in your SSN and other personal information to signup, so probably not worth it unless you want to actually try out the service.

It’s possible that if you do the annual subscription for $132 that you’ll get back $56 on the single charge. We have heard of that sometimes being the case with other Amex Offers, and I don’t know how this one will play out.

Post History:

  • Update 5/13/24: Swagbucks is now up to $152 for the $132 annual plan. Stack with Amex Offer for $14 back. Altogether this can be a $34 moneymaker.  (ht reader Arley who notes: SB 15200 went pending right away and Amex Offer email received)
  • Update 10/09/23: AmEx offer back.
  • Update 6/16/23: This is now on Swagbucks for 5,000 ($50) and MyPoints for 80,000 ($51) for the month subscription. (ht snailrock) Swagbucks link | MyPoints link There’s also an Amex Offer which can rebate the $14 monthly cost so it should end up being a $50 moneymaker.

Can the annual subscription be cancelled after receiving the 17500 swagbucks? It looks like it only pends for 32 days and doesn’t state any clawback stipulations.

It is showing on Swagbucks, yes REJECTION, but the terms state you only get 4000 SB for the annual subscription not 17500.

My credit card wouldn’t go through when the deal was first posted. Told to contact support. Did multiple times. No email back. No phone number listed anywhere. Posted on their Facebook, Twitter, and IG and still no response. Beware of this company if they’re this bad at taking people’s money, imagine if you actually need something from them!

Just signed up via Swagbucks on PC + $14 Amex offer loaded. Offer was confirmed for 17500 SB in terms.  Screencapped terms and sign up (which only took 1 minute) in case of any SB issues. 17500 pending almost immediately after confirmation of payment.

Looks like it’s back, but now the terms say only 4000 SB for the annual even though it shows in discover as 17500 SB. MyPoints showing as 29750.
