Our Verdict
I signed up earlier this year for the $1,500/$20,000 offer. This offer gives $2,000/$30,000 and most people will likely consider it a better offer. Useful for those with a lot of upcoming spend. Another option is a similar bonus on the Venture X Business card.
The added $2,000/$500,000 might also be interesting for those with huge amounts of spend – this can basically turn the card into a 2.4% card (instead of the regular 2%).
Remember, Capital One pulls all 3 credit bureaus. Unlike most Capital One business cards, Spark Cash cards do not report the statement balances to the personal bureaus; see these Things to Know About Capital One Credit Cards before applying. Can anyone please confirm if Spark Cash Plus shows up on personal credit report? I read all of the comments here but so far, it looks like it doesn’t but I don’t see clear DP or information to risk one 5/24 spot. Thank you all Churners!
Rejection DP: 3/24 (and 1/30), new sole prop ($40k revenue this year), no business checking accounts (which was one reason they cited), about 4/6 on HPs. TU and EQ FICO are both ~800 (left EX frozen, which they didn’t mention as a reason for rejection).
Does CapOne allow app-o-rama? Can I apply for this card and a personal card on the same day to combine HP?
Will an annal soleo-proprieter business income of 30k be enough to get get approved? Or are they looking for legit businesses? My side-hustle comes from ebay and rental property income . It’s not much but was enough to get me approved for biz cards a decade or two ago. I think now they are much more strict. So haven’t tried.
I do sole proprietor all the same, no issues.
Did anyone get approved? Does the 4/24 rule also apply to this card?

I have the Spark Cash Select biz card and it does report balances to the bureaus
umm can anyone else provide data points? it’s a big deal if it affects 5/24 rule
Sucks that they only let you spend about $5,000 the first month…
Why would they care if you spend only 5k the first month? I would think they want you to spend as much as possible. I’ve had bad experiences with Capital One and haven’t had their cards in years but this offer is good enough I’m thinking about changing.
Why this and not amex Biz Plat, unless you are in PUJ ?
because PUJ and lack of NLL
But there are always NLL links. And Amex is lenient with Amex Biz apps.
Just do not see any worth in spending 30K for getting just 200K points.
1) I can’t organic spend $20k and can’t MS with Amex.
2) I have a lot of Experian pulls and expect a few more this year, so I want to try this with only TU/EQ unfrozen
3) I need to slow velocity for other bank biz cards right now
But you’re right, this is a bottom-of-the-barrel SUB.
I applied for a card earlier and they decline me. I dont want to waste another hard inquiry on my report for them to decline again.
Can the $2000 cashback on Business card be transferred to any airline or hotel partners for better redemption value? Never had any Cap 1 card before
You need a miles earning card from Capital One to be able to do that (ie: Venture cards).
