Clark County Board of Commissioners has approved plans for Capital One to open a lounge in Las Vegas Lounge (LAS). The lounge will be located in D concourse and be 7,875 square feet. There is no opening timeline for this lounge currently.
Hat tip to Thrifty Traveler
Any chance this will be open by the week between Christmas and New Years when I’m there?
Nice – great alternative to Centurion Lounge at LAS/DEN since the free guest(s) go bye-bye in February next year.
Now we just need a Cap1 lounge in SEA & SFO
Too bad they don’t allow entry upon arrival for my Vegas trips. Guess I’m still stuck with the PP “The Club” for a quick snack and drink. At least outbound I’m covered.
Wait, do all PP “The Club” lounges accept you if you’re arriving at your final destination?! I thought all PP lounges were outbound only…
Nope. Unlike membership with card access (AMEX, Cap One, AA Admiral) lounges that also accept PP charge and get paid with bodies walking through the door. I’m not saying All PP lounges were outbound only but my experience with most and PP restaurants – no care / not good for business to reject.
Master Allan arrival pass too doesn’t work for PP
Yes it does. I’ve walked into the door with my PP at least half a dozen times upon arrival to my destination. Specifically “The club” comes to mind. The lounge operating company charges and gets paid by each body; they don’t really care too much.
Well Dan, as of December 2022 you’re more right. My comment below is now obsolete. I got denied entry into “The Club” in Harry Reid Las Vegas airport on arrival without onward air travel. They changed their policy or operations the month prior.
Too bad, it’s not like I was going there after stepping off the plane to see how much top shelf I could drink. Really just to grab a snack to eat and some of their tomato basil soup I really like…
Still better than Chase’s Hong Kong Lounge
Sweet. Another lounge far away from where 99% of travelers go through.
How about the existing one in Dallas. DFW is a major hub
I go through D gates on every flight I take to Las Vegas. So I must be in the 1% as every flight I take is American out of D gates.
United is also primarily through D gates. Even if you are in another terminal, the tram is very convenient and only adds maybe 10 minutes. What I find interesting is that it’s in the same concourse as the Centurion Lounge.
I think it’s because the D Gates and International concourse are the only modern councourse in that airport and the other concourses dont’ really have room for lounges
I fly into Vegas via southwest airlines from Denver three or four times a year for many many years. From exiting the plane’s jet bridge to a terminal C gate to walking into the AMEX lounge or “The Club” at D gates I have done it in 7 minutes. Moving with a purpose of course. Helps if you catch the terminal connector tram at the right moment. New lounge away but not really that away.
