Update 10/2/21: Brex is also losing JetBlue. Hat tip to Miles Talk
Capital One has announced that effective October 25, 2021 you’ll no longer be able to transfer points to JetBlue. JetBlue was added as a transfer partner in May 2019 at a 2:1 transfer rate. Capital One then improved the transfer rate to 2:1.5 in early 2020.
JetBlue is cancelling these due to their Barclays deal. All non Barclay transfer partners will get added to the list on this post.
Does Citi TYP get to keep JetBlue as a transfer partner? Citi TYP has had JetBlue as a transfer partner since 2016. And, of course, Citi has a relationship with American Airlines, which is now a JetBlue partner.
Probably due to the new partnership with American Airlines, could be so they don’t get screwed with their new deal or could be required per the terms.
I don’t think many will miss this, however I find it very strange this happens one day after another. No tin-foil hat just pointing it out.
JetBlue recently renewed their cobrand card contract with Barclays… wonder if it’s related or just a coincidence with timing
Good riddance, Jetblue. Take your revenue-based redemption model and git.
They won’t miss you. Spirit where you belong
Or Delta.
The real question is “who is even transferring points en masse to Jetblue and why?”
JetBlue points redeem for 1.5¢/p on Blue fares. Not horrible if they have the flight you want.
