Our Verdict
The lower tier can end up being a great deal, and it’s better than the prior offer of 150k points with $30k spend. I’m considering signing up and doing the $20k spend tier. However, in the past I haven’t had great luck getting approved with Capital One. Another option is a newly launched similar bonus on the Spark Cash Plus business card.
Remember, Capital One pulls all 3 credit bureaus. Unlike most Capital One business cards, Spark Cash cards do not report the statement balances to the personal bureaus; see these Things to Know About Capital One Credit Cards before applying. We’ll add this to our List of Best Credit Card Signup Bonuses.
I did not receive the statement……so i did not pay it ……when I discovered that I did not get the statement and wanted to pay in full if they could please waive the interest (over 21% ! ) they refused
I was instantly approved. My credit since after being approved has dropped 50 points. Don’t forget to use your friends referral link to get them 30k points. Will give back [removed]
Instantly Approved thanks DOC! I’m at 3/24 with the last Capital One card (Venture) opened in June last year. Pulled all 3 agencies as is normal with C1
Denied, offered Spark Miles with 50k bonus, turned it down
Instantly declined but offered the Spark Miles 2x card with 50K bonus and no AF. Decided to just take it since I can bang out the $4500 spend quickly and then get something else. Disappointed to not get the 150K but wasn’t super hopeful after reading other reports.
Hope you already knew and were ok with the Spark Miles card reporting on your personal credit because it will.
Instantly approved for this. I’m at 2/24, with the last personal card opened 4 months ago. Currently have the Venture X personal for over 2 years (frequently used)
Did youbget a hard pull even though you already have the personal with them?
How is C1 (and specifically this card) with credit union account funding? A post below makes me think it would charge as a cash advance
Have you found any info to share? Thinking about it too
My C1 Spark Cash coded as purchase at Kitsap CU, there’s a DP on Gesa Credit Union coding a Venture X as purchase in 2022.
C1 Venture (non business version) codes as purchase every time I have used it. I don’t know about the biz though cause they won’t ever approve me
Is there any way to use the travel credit short of actually using it for travel at the rates the travel portal dictates (i.e. some gift card route or refund trick)
Has anyone tried funding Uncle Credit Union? I saw one post in DOC that UCU has no limit so wonder if you can put 20K and get the bonus? I don’t want to apply to this business card unless I have a way of getting the 20K spend because I cannot meet that organic spend even in 6 months lol
Adding on, has anyone been able to use VX to fund any CU accounts at all?
Yes, used to fund CU with personal VentureX
How much did you fund? I’ve been trying to figure out what the funding limit is for Uncle CU
Yes funded successfully with A+FCU and Great Southern Bank
Rejected and offered a Spark Classic card with no bonus offer instead. Looks like this happened to several other people too. My credit score is approximately 800. Waste of a hard pull. If I had to guess, I’ve opened a number of cards in the past year, maybe 5, so that might be the issue, or it’s just a pure bait and switch.
