Card linked program ‘Mogl’ will shut down on December 3rd. An e-mail was sent out with the important following dates:
- October 7th, 2024: This is the last day to earn rewards using an American Express card.
- December 3rd, 2024: The Mogl Rewards Program will cease all operations. Important: Please ensure your primary linked credit card is valid by this date to avoid any issues with receiving your rewards balance. Failure to update your primary card by this date may put you at risk of not being reunited with your rewards balance.
- Within 90 days of the program ending: We’ll pay any rewards you’ve earned to your primary credit card, as long as the card is still valid.
This isn’t a huge loss as Mogl runs on Figg (previously called Empyr) and numerous other card linked programs run on the same program.

Anyone ever receive a payout?
I got a credit on my linked credit card 3/18/2025 from “CASH REWARDS SAN DIEGO CA” that I think was a payout from Mogl (the amount matches what I think my balance was).
Back in 2015, Mogl used to run these $10 off $10 promotions once per month, limit 1 per restaurant, but otherwise unlimited.
I had a routine down where I would get a few a la carte items, usually meat only, i.e. chicken/beef skewers from a Greek restaurant. Every order would be nearly $10 on the dot, and I’d go drive my loop to get my free food. I’d cook rice or other carbs + veggies, reheat the meat, and we’d be good on dinner for most of the week.
Between P1 and P2, we got over $4,000 of “free” takeout that year.
It was all pretty blatant. I assume they were trying to boost revenue and adoption numbers for their VCs or something. Wonder how that worked out.
