Cash App: 99% Off Coming Next Week

Update 11/12/21: Northface now live gogo

Update 11/8/21: Cash app offered 99% off crocs today (deal died after less than five minutes and we missed posting) and said they will offer 99% off something tomorrow. I assume it won’t be at the same time.

The Offer

Direct Link to offer

  • Sometime next week, Cash app will be offering 99% back on your purchase.

Our Verdict

When this deal came out last year the way it worked was you had like 20 minutes to spend what you can and get 99% back, up to $50. Easiest way is to buy an Amazon gift card (affiliate link) with a $50.51 load which would yield a full $50 credit. We’ll have to see if it works the same way this time.

Sounds like you can set up notifications in the Cash App to get notified when this goes live. We’ll post if we catch it.

Wonder if that’s coming back this year?

The sub-dollar Cruncyroll shirts finally arrived. Somewhat odd store, never got an order or shipping confirmation by email, just some marketing.

Ended up being delivered today. Frustrating how they do that

I ended up ordering 2 items from Pacsun and apparently because each item was shipped out separately, the boost ended up getting reduced from the $30 I originally received to something like $24, and I ended up paying more. I guess I’ll be returning one of the items.

It was mentioned below that you could time delay a purchase on one of these boosts by a few hours as long as you added it to your card and left it alone. I still had the PacSun boost added from Thursday and just tried using it today (Saturday) and surprisingly it worked.

I dont get how people could add them and they stick to the card for so long, they dropped off almost right away for me. Didnt remove myself either, just fell right off randomly

Five pretty crappy Boosts. Yeah yeah, 99% off is great, but to these stores?

Monday – Crocs $50
Tuesday – Ulta $20
Wednesday – CrunchyRoll $30
Thursday – PacSun $30
Friday – Northface $30

Any self respecting man isn’t buying anything from these stores.

That was $160 worth of cash in a week, sure very generous of them. But they’d have lost less money – and got more community love – if they just offered a single $50-anywhere boost like last year. Oh well.

I think this round of promos is more like a B2B move than customer acquisition, probably some sort of collaboration going on between Cash App and these brands, we need more data to determine whether it’s revenue wise or not.

Any secure, well-adjusted man would buy from those stores. It’s true that the fragile ones won’t.

I didn’t get any notification, even if I enabled them for Cash App.
Do they make 99% deal available at a specific time so I can just jump in?

To get Twitter notifications working in the Android app, besides enabling them in the Twitter app, I had to go to the Android settings for the app, Notifications, “Tweets from people you follow”. (Even though the Twitter app settings has an option that sounds the same, enabling that didn’t enable it in the Android settings)

For the DP, I was able to add the Boost and wait several hours before I made my purchase. Pacsun’s came out right as I was beginning my run, and I came back an hour later to place my order. North Face, I waited four hours before I finally made up my mind. Hope they do this again next year.
