- Have at least one repeating automatic transfer from your Chase checking account of $25 or more. One time transfers do not qualify.

The Chase Total Checking account comes with a monthly service fee of $10-$12 which is waived if complete any of the following:
- Have monthly direct deposits totaling $500 or more
- Keep a minimum daily balance of $1,500 or more

Our Verdict
With these e-mail coupon bonuses, there is only a certain amount of them before they run out – if you’re thinking of doing this deal I’d recommend acting quickly to get the coupon.
Here’s how to go about getting this $500 offer:
- Go to a local Chase branch and open a Savings and Checking account.
- Deposit $1500 (or a little less to account for the future direct deposit) into the checking and $15,000 into the Savings.
- Get a direct deposit to the Chase checking account. See what has counted for direct deposit in the past here. Â (Personally, I did a $100 ACH push from Serve a couple of months ago and it worked.) This will trigger the bonus requirement.
- Be sure that you always have $1500 in the Checking account and $300 in the Savings account to keep it fee-free.
- Wait until the Tuesday after completing the requirements for the bonus to post. (Chase is weird and always posts the bonuses on a Tuesday). If you don’t receive the bonus, use another direct deposit to try and trigger it.
- Wait 90 days before pulling $14,700 out of the Savings account and into your regular high-interest checking account.
- Wait until 6 months after the opening date.
- Withdraw all funds & close the accounts, getting ready to do it all again in 2016.
Chase bank bonuses are one of the best bank bonus there is. There is no minimum on the direct deposit requirement, it’s easy to keep the account fee free and the bonuses are massive as well. If you’ve never completed a bank bonus before, this is the one to get your feet wet with. We’ll be adding this bonus into our list of Best Bank Bonuses while it’s available.
In the past, we saw a $175 Savings deal (expired) which didn’t require tying up the money for 90 days, but that was the anomaly; typically you need to tie up the funds.
Another interesting thing to note is that this link (above) is capable of generating multiple unique coupon codes to the same Chase account. So if you want to save a second code for a friend, just log out and click the link again to get a second unique code. (You may not even have to log out.)

Guys..please help….
i opened saving acct with $200 offer.. where i have to maintain 15000 for 90 days…
by mistake i withdrew some money from my savings account instead of checking account…
when i noticed it i then immediately added 2000 more to savings acct…
abt 50 days had passed ….so my saving acct had balance of 14500 for 3 days….then will have 16500 for next 30 dayys…
so please anyone tell me THE CONDITION is to maintain a daily balance of 15000 as minimum or is it a AVERAGE DAILY BALANCE OF 15000 minimum….
if average then i am fine..right?
otherwise what to do…?
please help and suggest
If I open an account today will it count against this calendar year’s quota.
If my memory serves me right, there is a data point indicating that – yes, it will count toward 2015.
I’m confused here too. The terms state that the bonus can only be earned once per calendar year. It doesn’t say anything about opening an account once per calendar year. So that leads me to believe that it is based on the calendar year in which the bonus actually posts to your account and doesn’t matter when the account was opened.
Yup, could be. I’m just saying that I’ve seen a data point that this is not how their system codes it.
Fingers crossed you’re right, otherwise I’ll have to wait till 2017 for another Chase bank bonus.
Got both bonuses. Make sure you get the total checking and not premier checking which they gave me by mistake. After I withdrew the money from the checking it charged fees even with $1500 in the account.
I also want to add some other data points. I signed up for this promo on the last day (July 15th) the codes were good for. Used CapitalOne360 for an ACH transfer and that triggered direct deposit for the $300 bonus. I also had an odd amount of Discover card cash back ($7) that I transferred into chase checking and that posted as an ACH transfer. I wouldn’t be surprised if that also could trigger as a direct deposit.
I want to add a data point. I funded my checking today with a NFCU cash rewards cc and there was no cash advance fee.
“ACH Push”, you mean sending money online from one account to another? Does Bluebird work? Thanks…new to this, but am traveling to NYC this weekend (in Virginia, where there are no Chase branches nearby) and excited to try this. Hope to open one for me and one for DH.
Serve worked for me.
Chuck, was this recent?
How do you do an ACH push with Serve? I didn’t know ACH xfers could be initiated from Serve.
“(Personally, I did a $100 ACH push from Serve a couple of months ago and it worked.) This will trigger the bonus requirement.”
From memory it’s
Settings > Bank & Cards.
Something like that. It’s a withdrawal of your money from Serve to bank account.
‘Withdraw Funds’ under ‘Funding & Transfers’ in settings
the link is not available, it said system error, we could not retrieve your coupon code
It’s still working for me. Try again or in a different browser.
It said “system error, we can not retrieve your coupon code” in the print page where the coupon code should display. Does anyone meet this problem?
Is there anyway to get a code without being a Chase customer?
Not that I know of. You can buy on eBay. We’ll probably raffle some off as well eventually.
