Chase has sent out a survey looking for feedback on a potential card redesign for the Chase Sapphire Reserve and asking users to compare it to American Express Platinum card and Capital One Savor card.
Earlier this year there was a rumor that a dining credit would be added to the Sapphire Reserve. Somewhat interesting given that in this survey they were asking users to compare the card design to the Capital One savor and that’s typically not thought of as a premium card, but does have good dining earn rates.

Seriously, that’s what they are spending the money on… Do they think we are really so stupid to pick/keep the card based on what it looks like… It’s not shoes or whatever. WTF Chase.
5 is probably the one that best positions it visually as a competitor to the Savor and Gold/Plat. I’m assuming it’s a relatively clean brushed metal finish, and it doesn’t actually have a two-tone diagonal split.
The existing design has always been a letdown compared to competing cards, or even the far better looking Sapphire Preferred.
Give it the same weight of the old Ritz…and then give the current Ritz it’s old look and feel back as the “new” Ritz feels extremely cheap compared to its previous version.
Just add a bonus for GAS.
Chase told me they are no longer issuing metal cards. I got a plastic one to replace the expired one and asked via private message for a metal one. They said they are no longer issuing metal fused cards. Anyone else have that issue?
>>issue?
Consider yourself lucky.
What if the plastic is a temporary one and they will mail you the new redesign of the card?
I got replacement cards for Preferred 10 days ago and they are metal.
yeah that’s nice but how much METAL does it have?
They’re also doing the same for the Ink Preferred card. I selected that I had both and only got the survey on the Ink Preferred.
I love #4 and love the back, looks very clean. I hope other cards get a redesign especially the Freedom and Freedom Unlimited cards. I want these with laser printed numbers on the back.
They should charge you $500 for this design. Sounds like you might pay it.
Nah, I already pay $450 per year for my JPM Reserve.
I remember the survey. I really don’t care what the card looks like. I got it when it first came out for the huge sign up bonus and for the benefits. As long I make money with the card, I’ll keep it.
Five levels of dull. None of those look good. I’d be pretty upset if I paid people to come up with a redesign and those were the options provided.
