The Offer
- Some people are seeing a nice offer among their Chase Offers:
- Get 10% back at Lowe’s, up to $12 cash back (Spend $120 to max out offer).
Our Verdict
Keep in mind Lowe’s sells third party gift cards,, Chuck shared his experiences with a previous AmEx offer here. This isn’t as good as that offer as that was for 20% off and this is only 10%. Fingers crossed you got targeted for this deal.
Just tried a Lowe’s in Washington and they wouldn’t let me purchase third party gift cards with a credit card. Does acceptance vary by location?
I purchased a $100 Amazon gift card from lowes and a $15 item. I only got the 10% credit for the $15 item, which seems to indicate that Chase has third party data and does not give 10% back for gift card purchases.
when did u purchase them and when did u get the partial credit?
Was literally about to go purchase Amazon gift cards using this offer at Lowe’s. Glad I checked here first. Damn.
UPDATE:
11/23: Made a $115 purchase ($100 Amazon gift card + $15 item). This was a single transaction.
11/30: Received $1.5 credit for $15 purchase.
12/4: Received $10 credit from the Amazon gift card
I don’t know why they break it up like this, but it looks like it DOES work on Amazon gift cards, but takes longer to process the credit.
I tried to buy gift cards with Chase card but cashier said gift cards are debit only transactions. Anyone have luck with Lowe’s selling them gift cards with a credit card? I was trying to buy non-Lowe’s gift cards.
Loaded offers last week. Bought a vgc at Lowe’s yesterday. Checked the app today and offers are not showing up. Uninstalled and reinstalled app. Offers still not showing up.

did you got the credit now?
My $120 Lowe’s transaction was posted on nov 28 and I haven’t got credit yet.
I had the lowe’s offer on three of my cards: CSR, marriott and freedom. I quickly used all of them. Freedom is the one I first used. However, today, the offer disappeared from my freedom card but no credit received yet, while I can still see it from my other two cards. Does any one have the same issue? Did any one receive the credit back already?
I bought something at Lowe’s and Staples. I have not received credit yet. I emailed Chase because it is not clear in the frequently asked questions on the Chase website how fast the transaction is supposed to track.
I called Chase and they can see it is pending and I can’t. They said it will be issued on the next statement. I suggested that they should make the pending transactions viewable to the customer. It’s frustrating for someone trying to keep track of their Chase Offers.
Why don’t they make it similar to the Dosh app or BOA BankAmeriDeals for example, that lets you view your pending cashback within minutes of making a purchase?
Same thing happened to me. Lowe’s offer was only available on my Freedom and I immediately added it. After making a small purchase for actual products (no gc), the offer disappeared from my account! I found it under redeemed/expired offers. Looks like it was valid for 1 single purchase with max $13 back (max $130 purchase). Going to call Chase to verify if it’s valid for only 1 purchase or multiple purchases will qualify.
Verified with Chase that even though the Lowe’s offer shows up under REDEEMED after only 1 purchase, the offer remains valid until I have reached the max cash back, which for me is $13.
Are the chase offers in ADDITION to credit card rebate, or INSTEAD of credit card rebate? That is, say you have a chase offer of 10% at lowes on a chase freedom card. You could use chase pay w samsung pay for rebate of 5%. If that card has the lowes deal, would the total discount be 10%, or would the discount be 15% (5+10)? Thanks.
15%
Wow. Thanks.
Juts to clarify: does this apply to gift cards? It says won’t work on third party. I got this 10% offer for both Lowe’s and Staples. Thanks!
My Chase CFU offer was only 5%, but CF and CSR are both 10%. Weird.
Just used this with two cards. Bought 2X $120 Kroger gift cards at Lowe’s, used them at Kroger with the 4X fuel point promotion, buying $50 fixxed value Amazon cards.
Wait…..Are you saying that you bought $50 fixed value Amazon cards with a Kroger gift card?
I am curious too.
