Not sure for chase for this offer. But on BofA CCR, scan-and-go does trigger as online shopping in store. The gas station does not. I would say there’s a good likelihood that scan-and-go will trigger this offer.

Rakuten is paying 12% cash back on Sams club purchases right now too (elevated bonuses at other portals as well).
I got the 12% on $250 worth of Instacart and Airbnb GC’s this morning. And another 12% on a $500 Sams Club GC I bought this afternoon. Oddly, the afternoon order also included a $200 instacart GC purchase and the 12% hasn’t applied to that part of the order yet.
Update: Rakuten updated their cashback for Sams to reflect only 1% on gift cards. Guess I got in on the 12% just in time.
Edit #2: The $500 + $200 order just updated at Rakuten and now shows $700 purchase with 12% properly credited.
Have it on three cards, one Flex for the extra 5%, nice that it’s not a membership deal this time. Many more possibilities.
chase offer on sam’s club membership DOESN’T WORK. Plenty of complaints filed by many. read the posts. I too bought plus membership for $60 using my enrolled chase card. never received the cash back, called few times and they keep saying they will look in to it. i sent screenshots as a proof. after months of waiting, they send me a letter saying its not a qualifying purchase which I know it a nonsense. DON’T DO IT.

But based on your posts, you seem to have the worst luck—not getting that offer credited or all your Staples/Office Depots not stocking $200 cards or gift card mall cards not working. Hope you’ve had some good luck on some deals.

Got it on 3 of my personal Chase cards.
Was thinking of getting a $200+$6 Visa- or Mastercard and fill up the rest with a SamsClub GC to max out the full $24 discount.
Anyone done this before and did it work?
Well, don’t forget about the activation fees on Visa and Mastercard. I think I am going to buy Sam’s cards, because I shop and buy gas often enough at Sam’s to use them… but haven’t done the transaction yet.
Unfortunately I don’t see where you can buy Sam’s brand e gift cards on their site. I don’t trust them to mail me hundreds in gift cards
Yeah, you’re right, it’s a risk and I may decide to not take it.
You can split up orders to minimize risk. The offer states until a $24.00 cash back maximum is reached.
They have FedEx tracking numbers associated to every gift card mailed. I’ve done it handfuls of times. One time I did not receive a $200 gift card (FedEx tracking number showed it was never delivered). Customer Service immediately refunded my order.

I found this Sams offer on 3 of my Chase cards.
With each credit card, I bought a $206 VGC and the rest in Sams GC’s (a $25 and $10) to max out the offer.
Everything worked out, except on one purchase the selected $25 giftcard design was out of stock / not shipped, and the order total was adjusted before it fully posted to Chase (so in the end I received a bit less than the $24 cashback for that one).
Offers all tracked and received each cashback.

Same issue with my renewal so I just fired off a secure message along with screenshots of the expired offer and the transaction before the offer expiration date in a single PDF.
This should stack with the Labor Day public offer of $25 for basic membership as well as Rakuten offering 8% off new memberships as well.
Groupon offers 50%-off membership in many cities. I paid $25 for $50 Club membership by using Groupon code.
