Our Verdict
Keep in mind it’s a total of 10x points, so that includes the 1x base point or 1.5% that the Freedom Unlimited offers. Very similar deal for Walmart just launched as well. This offer states it’s also non-transferable, but it’s available to all Chase UR personal cardholders. Despite there being no ink for the Chase Sapphire Preferred people are earning 10x on those purchases as well. You can view other Best Buy promotions by clicking here. You can only use Chase Pay on Best Buy purchases in store so keep that in mind. No registration is required.

Offer is back.
Thanks!
If I buy these on 12/24, will it still count? is it based on purchase date or post date?
I think it would go through
Should be purchase date
I just went to Best Buy and their system wouldn’t let me purchase gift cards. She said it’s been that way for the a week or so. I was only trying to buy 2×200.
make sure to tear off the strip that covers the barcode on the actual gift card. after i learned that i had no trouble buying the VGC.
Someone grabbed the gift cards from somewhere else since there was none where the gift cards usually are but I will go back and try again.
Recently, I tried buying two Visa gift cards and the cashier was not able to successfully scan the cards through the cash register. She tried several times. She decided to try the cash register at Store Pickup and it worked successfully.
I’m also getting the exp date three years too late glitch on all Chase UR cards (therefore I don’t attempt to place order). But I also notice it displays the last 4 # of the credit card instead of the the last 4 # of the device/token.
This is the only time I’ve tried Chase Pay. Which last 4# are they supposed to display (when it works correctly), credit card or device/token?
Oops, meant to post in Walmart/ChasePay thread.
Anyone getting this error?
Sign in or enroll on chase.com to use Chase Pay. (Code 6515)
Already enrolled.
There was one time it almost went through, but chase blocked it ( fraud prevent)
and i had issues doing it again
Not sure what went wrong on my CSR, I did use a Chase Pay at Best Buy to get 2x$200 VGCs. Transaction has been posted but I do not see 10x UR points, its only 1x. What to do now?
Call Chase and inquire.
Me too. But the term say 9% bonus points will be posted within one week of transaction post.
Hi, do you call Chase? I inquired via secure message. they said the charge for $142.99 from BestBuy was not processed via Chase pay. Since the charge is not processed via Chase pay you will not receiving additional points.
But I definitely pay via Chase Pay. What to do now?
So, you remember using the Chase Pay app and having the BB employee scan the QR code on your phone? If so, then I would call and see if they would make a courtesy adjustment to your rewards account for 10%.
That is the problem. The BB employee let me use NFC rather then scan the QR code. But I opened Chase pay and close to NFC device to complete payment. I think I also used the Chasepay, right?
Nope, nfc is Samsung pay . Qr code is chasepay
Did it post as Sale:ChasePay? if it did, you can send them SM and they’ll likely fix it for you after seeing you did the transaction via CP. IF, however, it did not post as ChasePay, that’s the time to investigate what went wrong. IME, I still got a paper receipt and it says there scanned ChasePay as method of payment.
I did split payments too where I paid the fees with my Alliant CC first and the remaining $400 with CP and it worked flawlessly.
does anyone have the link for the online BB 200$ VGC?
cant find it, even though its sold out, still want the link to check occasionally
For some reason, my second set of 2×200 BestBuy VGC got charged to the first Chase Freedom CC too, even though I ciuld’ve sworn I switched to my second Freedom card in Chase Pay and got a new QR code for the cashier to scan. Anyone has similar experience? Now the profit margin of this MS just got even slimmer. Grrrr…
Tried to buy the Visa GC but when the CSR scanned the barcode, it said item was not found. Did BB block the purchase of the VGC with these promotions?
So I took advantage of the deal this weekend; however, I found a better deal on another item and ended up using chase pay twice in three days. My questions is whether or not I’ll a till get the points since the initial purchase that earned me the 10% cb will be returned, but I did make the new purchase on chase pay as well.
