Chase Pay Checkout to Be Discontinued by March 31st

Chase Pay with discontinue their checkout platform where select apps and websites have them available at checkout (similar to Paypal and Visa Checkout) on March 31, 2021.

In preparation for Chase Pay no longer being available for use in PayPal, learn how to add your Chase cards directly to your PayPal account.

They had already shut down the dedicated Chase Pay app around a year ago. You can pay with Chase cards via Paypal, and of course you can always add cards individually to any website.

This bank ( and many many more ) should stick to what they do the best…. borrow money from federal reserve at near 0% then charge consumers 18-28% interest

BASTARDS !!

I’m actually glad they charge this much. It allows banks to make enough money to offset the deadbeats who don’t pay their bills, while still being able to afford generous sign up bonuses. Besides, if you live within your means you should have no problem paying your cards off in full each month. If not, that’s on you.

yeah, churning is all about mindset and money management

The people who are on top of their game, make spreadsheets, do things systematically and in a smart manner will reap the highest rewards that they’re allowed.

Banks hate paying out the folks that know how to properly play the game, but we wouldn’t be where we are without the dead-beats who pay shit tons of interest and late payments every month to help keep our hobby going.

That’s just about every bank, and they do it because they can and the average consumer is simply put, dumb when it comes to banking. It’s very easy to not pay credit card interest, simply pay your statement balance every month. I have not paid one penny in credit card interest in 20 years since I had my first credit card around 18 years old. My parents taught me that a credit card is used as a substitute for cash, it’s only to be used for what you can afford to pay for now. Not to pay for things years later or what you can’t afford now. That’s not to say all interest is unavoidable, I have debt I’m comfortable with and pay interest on things I need in my daily life like loans for a car(at a very low rate) and a mortgage for a house over my family’s head.

Banks don’t make a penny off me(except for swipe/interchange fees of course which are indirectly paid by me built into the price of what I’m charged for things) and I’ve racked up a boatload of cash, points, etc from them over the decades. If everyone’s financial habits were like me, banks couldn’t afford to give generous sign up bonuses or credit card rewards.

Chase, you could have saved that money and spent some on churners instead. All the pain

All those troubling days at Shoprite trying to buy $200 vgc with Shitase Pay for 5x.
Cashiers would not even try to scan QR code. There’s even a sign next to register!!

OMG I remember this, I literally had to tell the cashiers how to ring it up, which button to press on their terminal, and then scan my QR code.

Out of the 5 cashiers at ShopRite who I tried to use Chase Pay with, only one had any flipping clue how to do it. The other four were teenagers who themselves probably didn’t have credit cards.

fond memory is the question someone asked in the early days…do you put chase pay in samsung pay or samsung pay in chase pay? And add chase pay to walmart pay so that you can pay with samsung pay or put chase pay in apple pay if you have the iphone. Now, Chase, its time to pay.

Based on his posting history, he’s been active on DoC for less than 2 months. I guess anyone can be a professional MSer these days.
