[Update 3/7/20: You can also refer from the Ritz card or the Marriott business card to the Bold or Boundless cards. You can not, however, refer from the Bold or Boundless to the Ritz or to the business card. (ht pbjclimbing)]
Chase now treats both Marriott Bonvoy cards as a single ‘family’ for the sake of referrals and you can refer from one to another. For example, if you have the Bold version, you can send your referral link to a friend and they’ll be able to choose the Boundless; the link will offer both options.
The referral bonus for the referrer is 20,000 points per referral, up to 100,000 maximum bonus points per calendar year.
We’ve seen Chase make similar moves with regards to the Southwest cards and the Freedom cards. Will be interesting to see if the move evolves further to other Chase families, such as the Sapphire family.
You should still be able to get the maximum on each card separately. For example, if you have Bold and Boundless, you can earn a full 100,000 max on each one for 200,000 total.
Do not put your referral in the comments.

Looks like the the offer has been updated:
You can earn 200,000 bonus points each calendar year. That’s 40,000 bonus points for each friend who gets the card.*
Your friend chooses any card. They can earn a 3 Free Night Award with the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless™ Credit Card or 1 Free Night Award with Marriott Bonvoy Bold™ Credit Card.
Are Marriott cards even worth signing up for anymore with the recent devaluation? The entire bonvoy program seems to be fairly worthless now.
Joining/referral bonus are free points/cash you get and its definitely worth something.
Can Ritz cards refer to Marriott cards?
I don’t think that’s an option, added to the post now.
Chuck actually it allows. I just generated the link today
Tang can you email me your referral link (chuck@doctorofcredit)? The links I see only show Bold and Boundless.
Note that you can refer from business to personal, though. Entering your Marriott biz card info will result in this same referral offer for Boundless/Bold.
Interesting, I’ll add that.
