Chase Sapphire Preferred 80,000 Offer Now Showing on Referral Links

[Update: Even newly generated links are now showing the 80,000 points + $50 offer (initially it was only select links). Updated below.]

Chase referral links are now showing the Sapphire Preferred 80,000 + $50 signup bonus offer when using a referral link. This makes the offer even more lucrative since the referrer gets 15,000 Ultimate Rewards points as well.

Remember: you can get the annual fee waived by going in-branch; you may prefer that to using a referral offer and getting your friend some bonus points.

(Note regarding the increased Sapphire Reserve offer: I don’t this the Sapphire Reserve card is available through referral links at all.)

No referrals in the comments below.

If you need a referral for Chase Sapphire Preferred,
you can get one from me at invitation.codes/u/4kBVe6hI0
Keep in mind that the 100k offer is not available via referral yet as of the time of this comment….but hopefully will be ready soon.

Also Chase Freedom referral available there.

Is there a waiting period on new accounts being able to generate a referral link? My friend got approved for the CSP ~2 weeks ago and is trying to generate a referral link but keeps getting “We are unable to locate any offers for you at this time”.

The waiting period theory is not a thing. My wife got approved and has generated a referral link even though the card hasn’t even arrived yet (used the last 4 digits which are shown online).

Does anyone know if increased referral points for the applicant can be matched? I referred my dad a couple months ago when it was still 60,000 points, is it possible to get that matched to the current 80,000? I will make a call eventually to check with a rep, but would like to see what responses others have had in the past.

I haven’t seen a successful match DP the last couple times the 80k offer has come around. Doesn’t hurt to try.

I went in branch and got the 80k offer with waived AF, and I was told by the banker that the grocery credit was *not* listed. However, I just got the $50 grocery credit put into my account.  Chuck

I got a CSR bonus 4.5 years ago, and I product changes CSR to CF 3.5 years ago.
does this pass the 48 months rule?

This product is available to you if you do not have any Sapphire card and have not received a new cardmember bonus for any Sapphire card in the past 48 months.

Yes.

previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months? Does this count starting from the time when you received your bonus or when you convert/cancel the card?

If it has been more than 48 months since you have received a CSR or CSP bonus and don’t currently hold any of the 3 Sapphire cards, you are eligible.

Is there any datapoints on applying through an online public link or referral (getting approved) and then going into a Chase bank to have them retroactively credit the annual fee?

Would love to use a referral and then attempt in branch after the application has been approved to get the Year 1 annual fee waived.
