Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders can now access Aeroplan lounges when flying on any Star Alliance flight. There are a total of 17 lounges available and guests can also access the lounge at CAD 59 for locations within Canada, USD 59 for locations within the U.S., EUR 59 for locations within the E.U., and GBP 59 for locations within the U.K.
To access the lounge you must present your physical Chase Sapphire Reserve card along with a same day boarding pass.

But not Montreal?!?!?!
This tells me premium travel demand on Air Canada is softening
Wow, bummer Ritz didn’t make the cut, but not surprised. And of course, no one gets your hopes up too much, as the asterisk is “Access is dependent on available capacity in the lounge. This benefit may be modified or canceled at any time without notice.”
Are you sure it doesn’t include the ritz card? Here is the language on the Sapphire Lounge website regarding Maple Lounges: “Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmembers now have access to select Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges and Air Canada Cafés in the U.S., Canada and Europe when flying on any Star Alliance carrier.“ Here is the language for the Etihad Lounge at Dulles: “Sapphire Reserve cardmembers can access The Etihad Lounge at Washington Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C.” There is no specific language to indicate access to Etihad lounge but I have visited that one with Ritz multiple times. Just wondering if anyone has verified at one of the qualifying Maple Lounges?
I think some of the Etihad lounges are a bit special since they’re also being called Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club. You have to use your Chase linked Priority Pass card to access, which covers Reserve and Ritz cards. At first I thought your Chase card worked as well, but they asked for my PP card last time. Basically Chase is probably funding more of the lounge operations, while I don’t think they’re involved as much with Maple Leaf lounges, as of yet anyway. But by all means try your Ritz card and see what happens. My guess is Air Canada is going to turn you away.
The new SFO MLL lounge is really nice, but will probably now be jam-packed with CSR holders flying United
Guests for addition $59 basically makes it useless for family travels.
i won’t cry for you – single traveler
This is actually oddly huge for me, as a Canadian who lives in the NYC area and frequently travels home.
Wishing it would also apply to the Ritz Carlton card though, or allow guests. Oh well.
Cancel that. The EWR lounge doesn’t seem to be included on the list.
That’s probably because they don’t (really) have a lounge in EWR anymore. They are now “co-located” with the United Club, which really just means a AC service desk.
Already seeing reports of overcrowding at LHR and all the US locations.
In case anybody else was wondering, the only Maple Leaf lounges in the US seem to be at LAX, LGA, and EWR.
Also, aren’t these part of PP already, or at least were? I’m pretty certain I’ve been to the EWR lounge using PP.
They no longer have a true Maple Leaf lounge at EWR, it’s now “co-located” with the United Club, so definitely no PP access.
au card holder???
wonder why YUL is excluded
no guests is a bummer too
