I applied on 9/13 and went to review. I called (800) 453-9719 today and they told me wait for 30 days before calling. They did not let me talk to anyone. Do I have to call a different number to talk to someone?

Anyone know if it still shows in referral links? If so I could use one

Where do these links come from? I don’t see them listed on Chase’s website. How do we know they’re legitimate sign up offers, open to everyone?

I want to apply last day of the 120000 Southwest offer 9/16/24. My concern is I got approved 8/21/24 after a review delay, for a Chase Ink Business Cash so I will be 5 days short of the 30 days between Chase business cards rule. How strictly is that rule enforced? I really hate to let this best ever 120000 pt offer pass by because I’m 5 days short of the 30 day between Chase business cards rule. This seems like a great opportunity to get companion pass for 2025 and 2026 with one card approval. Do you think I will get an automatic denial because of the 30 day rule or is it ymmv? I really appreciate any guidance you can provide. Thanks

The 1/30 rule is not a hard rule, and people do get approved faster than that.

So there is hope and it may be worth applying on the last day of the offer! Do you think any of the application links might stay active a few days after the offer is scheduled to end?

Larry A couple extra days has been known to happen, but I wouldn’t count on it. The offer is not on the main Chase site now, but is still available through the Southwest website and through referral links.

I’m pretty sure I will need to change my due date, what do you think?

Applied for the Premier card on 9/8/24, went into review, and then without any action on my part I received the Approved email on 9/11. I assume that for the tier 1 bonus spend my clock starts on the approval date, 9/11, not the application date, 9/8, yes?

They set my payment due date to November 6, so the 6th of every month. Based on comments below, my statement close date in December would be December 9 (6+3), and I think that would mean I don’t have time to make a small charge on December 10 and have it post on December 10 to get over the $3k in 3 months. If I request a due date of the 1st of the month, then there should be a statement closing around December 4, which gives me several days to get the last bit of charge for the $3k made and posted after the December statement closing date.

I’d be happy requesting a payment due date of the 27th of the month, if it is 100% certain that would result in an early in the month statement close date even in months with 30 or 31 days. With a 27th due date, they wouldn’t calculate a November 30th statement end date (27+3=30) would they?

Also, the $99 annual fee does not count towards the required spend because it isn’t “purchases”, correct?

RoyF Yes, the clock starts on your approval date. A payment due date of the 27th corresponds to a statement date of the 2nd, because the Chase calendar does not include the 29th, 30th, or 31st. Annual fees never count toward the spending requirement.

Which card is the better value now that Southwest is getting rid of early-boarding/open seating?

A couple months ago I applied for an Ink Business Preferred card and was approved with a lowly $6,000 limit assumingly due to my “business” not having very much income. What are the chances I can actually get one of these SWA cards if I put the same business info for it? Not sure they are going to want to give me anymore credit. Maybe I should overestimate my income on this application to get a better chance of them wanting to give me more credit?

Was that your first Chase business card? , Our businesses are very small and have no trouble getting approved now, but have had chase business cards for years.

When we were starting out, we had to talk to rep after almost every application. Be ready to estimate income and expenses and know why you need another / different card

Can anyone please tell me if there’s any point in getting this card just for cash back?

I applied for the premier card last Sep for CP for 2024-25. I want to apply for performance and try to extend it to 25-26. But first I want to close the premier to have better odds of approval. Am I risking claw back since I will be closing in the first year?

coolmuke It’s best to not close cards within 12 months of opening. I doubt you’d get a clawback, but I personally try to always stay on good terms with Chase. Also, it sounds like you already have the CP for all of 2025, so I would think it would be better to wait until the end of 2025 to try and get a CP for 2026 and 2027.

so is it the case that if you get the card in sept you need to complete all the $15k spend by the end of december to meet the companion pass requirements of 135K points earned in a calendar year?

You want all the points to post on a January statement so that you get the companion pass for 2 years (25 and 26). You need to hit the first 5000 specifically within 90 days of opening, but after your December statement closes. This would be in the first week or 2 of December. Then it is up to you how fast you hit the 15k after that, depending how soon you need the CP. could be any time in the spend period, into 2025.
