While it’s a 10% discount on points, it makes the points 11.1% more valuable thus giving you $0.0111/pt. Delta and United domestic main cabin is usually between $0.012-$0.014. So…I mean, you aren’t losing out all that much (if your intent is to redeem main cabin… first and business classes are a different story).
