This stacks with the 10% card member bonus as well (must transfer a minimum of 50,000 points), this applies to the base points being transferred. I only have the Aeroplan card, there is no way I can transfer UR to Aeroplan without one of the CSP/CSR/CIP, correct?
I tried to upgrade a Freedom flex to CSP but CSA said there is no upgrade option for them to choose (only CSR is available).
I already have over 300K stash. Been doing speculative transfers the past years but not sure I should add more now.
Can someone enlighten me how you get 1.25c per pt on travels? Is it thru PYB feature? I never use PYB because my miles are exclusively used for mini RTW trips in the past and now long hauls with stopover.
the 1.25cpp is when you use the Chase Travel portal to book your travel. When you look up a flight you will see the cash price and the UR point price and assume 1 cent per 1 UR point. For example if you look up a flight and it costs $500 cash price, it will say “$500 or redeem 40000 UR points). The 40000 UR points is equivalent to $400. Therefore $400 x 1.25 = $500. Hopefully this makes sense.

Basically you just need to charge some travel-related expense to your Aeroplan card (say $1,000). Then you can use Aeroplan points to redeem against that expense at 1.25c per point (so 80k points for that $1,000 charge). To do that, just use PYB in your Aeroplan card

How does it stack? So in this example would you get an extra 10k (10% of the 100k)? or 12k (10% of the 120k)?

I think if there is any card out there worthy of a speculative transfer, it’s this one. Since you can use the aeroplan card at 1.25 c/p on travel, it allows you to take advantage of travel deals you can’t get with the Chase travel portal. At 20% plus 10% bonus, this offers over 1.6 c/p on various, miscellaneous travel expenses including non chain hotels. A solid deal. If you know you’ll travel somewhere in the next year, why not take advantage now? Chances are the bonus won’t be available the month you actually make the plans.

Yes, it offers exactly 1.65c/p under this scenario, and this is, imo, one of the best use of credit card points out there.
No other credit card points come close to giving you a cash payout rate of 1.65c per point (OK it’s not cash but covering any type of travel expense is pretty close to a cash payout). It is unfortunate that they now limit it to max $2500 per year.
Wouldn’t transferring Chase to Hyatt give a better payout?

There’s always a better payout than 1.6+ c/p. But those choices limit you to a brand. At 1.6+ c/p untethered, it allows you to take advantage of discount offers at third party sites as well as pay for things like car rentals and parking. If you generate large amounts of Chase points, like many of us do, it allows nearly all travel to be truly free, not just flights and hotels.
Is this thru PYB feature? I own Aeroplan card but never explore the PYB because almost all my flights are booked with miles except an LCC here and there when no other option. Ditto for the hotels. Mostly BonVoy because I am working to achieve LT Plat (early next year for sure), with some booking.com mixed in when no chains available.
Yes PYB. And you could cover your booking.com purchases with PYB, achieving 1.625c per Chase UR.
Also travel is a broad category. You might be surprised by what counts as travel e.g. Uber, Lyft, (some) hotel restaurants and bars, car rental etc. Check your statement to see what codes as travel.
Chase to Hyatt is also a good redemption. I value Hyatt at 1.5c though so Aeroplan PYB at 1.625c is still a better redemption overall, unless you value Hyatt higher than I do.

With the new card SUB, the max you will need is 75,000 UR (YMMV) assuming that you get at least 4000 miles from spending in addition to the SUB.
Yes you could get two chase Ink cards and earn the 75k sub on both and this would cover $2500 of travel expenses, when transferred to Aeroplan while this 20% bonus is running.
