[Expired] Chase Ultimate Rewards: 30% Transfer Bonus To Aeroplan (1:1.3)

Deal has ended, view more Aeroplan deals by clicking here.

Update 11/9/22: This stacks with the 10% card member bonus as well (must transfer a minimum of 50,000 points), this applies to the base points being transferred.

The Offer

  • Chase Ultimate Rewards program is offering a 30% transfer bonus when you transfer to Aeroplan. Normally you can transfer at a rate of 1:1 and under this promotion that increases to 1:1.3

The Fine Print

  • Valid until November 30, 2022

Our Verdict

This is the first transfer bonus we’ve seen from Chase & Aeroplan. I don’t recommend transferring points speculatively but if you have a specific redemption in mind this could be useful. You can view more Chase transfer bonuses by clicking here.

I just want to throw this question out there.

I’m new to Aeroplan never used it before. I’ve got Chase UR sitting around waiting to be transferred somewhere for the best value.

About once a year I travel between U.S and southeast Asia.. how many UR points should I transfer if I don’t have an exact booking in mind? I mean can someone give me an idea how many UR points you would transfer for this promo if you were me and you travel to SE Asia once a year?

Little late to the party, but I have been trying to book a similar itinerary for a while now. Sadly there aren’t good redemptions as AC itself does dynamic pricing making their awards very expensive and partner awards are limited so you need to book as soon as the award chart opens (~331 days before I believe, but double check). Even then it’s probably still going to be about 50k miles each way for Economy and ~90k miles for Business, though it could be lower if you’re early enough but I have not tried that.

The first date I checked on Feb 7 I see business availability from JFK to ARN. Available at 70k and can find non-mixed cabin.
Maybe it’s the date you’re using or you’re not checking major airports?

This was a great deal for me and *the* problem solver. I had one-way tickets to europe early 2023 and needed something to get back and not on B.A. Also had 100,000 Chase UR points to burn before cancelling a business ink here in November before AF.

Now flying back from Eastern Europe with one free 23 hour layover in Montreal (cool! wanted to go), premiere class. Only transferred the 100,000 points + 30,000 bonus and out of pocket $140 USD for 2 tickets. Perfect. You did it again for me Doc. Eased the headache and some wallet crushing plane tickets.

Oh my gosh, this is three days too late. I just transferred all my AMEX points to Aeroplan to buy tickets to Paris.

This is a great transfer offer. I’m all over it even speculatively (most bloggers advise against). But this good a deal doesn’t come around often if at all. I can only recall a 10% transfer bonus in the past.
Great redemption value for international flights. I’ll burn them within a year. It’s possible but unlikely a 30% deval will happen in that time span. But it’s more unlikely you’ll see this deal again within a year imo.
Calculated risk but a good bet.

As someone on the speculative fence – but with enough history in this hobby to know a great deal when I see one – I’m comforted to read this as I’m likely gonna cash in all of my several 100k of chips on this one. Seems easy to keep the miles active with transfers and such (unlike my mistake with KrisFlyer). I’m focused on Biz class international redemption from North America, so….
Thank you!

Will this stack with the Chase Aeroplan Card’s 10% bonus for transfers above 50k UR points?

Frequentmiler says Chase told him yes. I just did a test with 50k. The terms state it can take some days for 10% to post so I haven’t see that yet. The 30% did post as expected.

Kind of a nail biter when you see a deal you really like and in 12 hours your transferred points haven’t posted yet.

I have 10k UR, would I be able to transfer to Aeroplan and redeem for domestic flight?

Maybe PDX – YVR in economy?

You’ll pay as much in fees as the cash price on a flight like that.

newb question: I had a Chase Sapphire card in the past but no longer have. I do still have a lot of UR points. Is there some way I can transfer UR points to travel partners without a premium Chase card? I just have normal Freedom cards now.

As far as I know the answer is No. You need a sapphire reserve or preferred card to transfer out to partners. If there is another way Id love to know that as well.

No, you have to hold a premium UR card (Ink Preferred, CSP, CSR, etc.) to transfer to travel partners. See the wiki at https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chase-ultimate-rewards/1822133-ultimate-rewards-airline-hotel-transfer-partners-rules-timelines-2017-a.html

Same thing here. So I applied for the Chase Business Preferred card. 100k after 15k spend AND you can transfer points.

Only if someone in your household has a sapphire.

Why do you say this doesn’t start until Nov. 1? I see it’s live in the UR transfer interface.

FYI it showed as live but the bonus didn’t post (I did a test 1k transfer before 11/1).
