Our Verdict
This is the best offer we’ve seen on this card. The previous best was 65,000 miles but that required a total of $10,000 in spend. Most people aren’t traveling a lot at the moment, but could be good to start stashing miles for the future (assuming United and other airlines don’t devalue these programs too much). Most people won’t be eligible due to the 5/24 rule, but useful for those who are. We’ll be adding this to our list of the best credit card bonuses.

I just received a postal mailer offering 80,000 bonus UA miles after spending $3000 in the first three months. Plus 5000 miles for adding an authorized user. Annual fee waived the first year.
It’s a great offer, but I’m at 6/24, so no go for me.
Hopefully some others will get this offer and be able to make use of it.
On Flyertalk, a number of people are saying this 80,000 plus 5,000 offer shows up when they log into their United account.
I had the UA card in the past which I downgraded to non-AF version. I know I’m eligible to apply for the second UA card again for SUB, but if I want to downgrade the second united card in a year, can I still do that and hold two non-AF UA cards?
Yep
You have done it? Or you know a data point?
Can you elaborate more?
Chase limits the bonus to 1 every 24 months with no restrictions on holding more than 1 United Card. I have held more than one non-AF UA in the past.
I just called chase and they told me they do not allow holding the same non AF UA card at the same time. When did you have them, is it long ago, and are you still holding both of them?
It has been a while.
It’s 80K for $3K spend (and +5K for AU) right now if you click on the banner after logging into United.com
While logged into united.com, I had an offer for 65k plus 5k for AU (no promotional code to enter).
70k is there using the 10/15/21 link
but, “after qualifying purchases when applying with a promotional code and adding an authorized user.**”
i dont do AU so that kills it for me.
Link works for me as well. 60k baseline, additional 5k if you do an AU, and additional 5k if you have an offer code.
No luck on 70k but did find 60k in my referral so I’ll try to match via SM. Good find for those that have 70k.
sucks, only seeing 50K for both my wife and I on the website and app both
what is the expiration date for this bonus promo? Unfortunately i wont be able to apply until july 1st.
Hi kari, Did you see the 70k offer on your United website or United mobil app on your smartphone? I did not see any expiration date, so YMMV…
Got advantage of this offer. Points posted very quickly after completing the spend requirement.
Applied from Chase app (recommended offers), even though was over 5/24
Hi Domkrat, Did you find your 70k offer in the Chase Mobile App or the Chase website?
Do we think Chase could offer a match to 80k if we only have 50k offer?
