Our Verdict
We saw a similar deal but for 10,000 points. They have also offered 10,000 and 15,000 earlier in the year. Could be a play here to manufacture miles if you have a cheap choice hotel near you and need the AeroMexico miles. Should stack with the Choice deal as well.

Posted in the nick of time. Was booking a Choice Hotels stay for tomorrow but was planning to use Priceline Express Deals to get a better rate. I’ll pay the extra $3 for some funny money. Wonder what 20k AeroMexico gets you?
Literally fucking nothing minimum domestic coach in Mexico is 28k
It’s bad but not QUITE that bad. Did a search and AUS-MEX was 28k, but MEX-TIJ was 14k. Add on the $50 in taxes/fees and it’s the same price as a LCC. Maybe there’s a better use.
Back when I had an AeroMexico account, I found decent value using points for hotel bookings. Perhaps try that?
How is domestic coach for 28k “literally” nothing? Literally speaking, it is something.
I once booked Paris to Mexico City nonstop for 15,600 Aeromexico + $75.93 . They do have random, unpublished redemption deals all the time if you have the patience to search.
Wow, was that recent? Any strategies to search? There is a new nonstop from Monterrey to Madrid I have my eye on.
