Man, AAdvantage is giving points away like candy! I just hope I’ll be able to ride this gravy train as long as possible!

Hmmm. I have to agree, the annual fee does not justify the benefits, specially if you already have the other benefits it offer by having the Citi Prestige or Amex Platinum. It would be basically be $450 annual fee (plus any expenses on MS if you do MS) for $75,000 miles.

Re: I don’t think the annual fee justifies the benefits, so I’ll be giving this offer a miss.

How about manufactured spending the $7,500 and cancelling the card before the AF hits? Even if the AF hits, I believe you have a couple of months before which you can cancel the card and get the AF refunded back.

You have 30 days to cancel. Some suggest 37 days, but I would be very nervous pushing it that far.

I don’t know. $7,500 is peanuts for some MS’ers. It is also 25% less compared to the previous offer (100,000 miles on $10,000 spend). It is also much less than what some folks receive for their targetted Platinum cards (often times targetted Platinum offers require you to spend $10k to $20k).
