The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Citi is offering an increased bonus of 85,000 miles after $6,500 within the first three months on the Citi AAdvantage Executive World Elite

Card Details

  • Annual fee of $450 not waived, but you’ll receive the following benefits:
    • Admirals Club® Membership Privileges
    • Earn up to 10,000 Elite Qualifying Miles per calendar year after you spend $40,000 within a calendar year
    • No foreign purchase fees
    • Enhanced Airport Experience
    • First Checked Bag Free
  • Earn 2 miles for every $1 spent on American Airlines, 1 mile per $1 for all other purchases
  • $100 Credit For Global Entry/TSA PreCheck
  • Admirals Club Access For Authorized Users
  • 24 month rule does apply

Our Verdict

We don’t often see this card with an increased bonus, previous high was 100,000 miles but not sure we see that ever again. For most people this card isn’t worth considering due to the high annual fee, because of that we won’t be adding this to our list of the best credit card bonuses.

There’s a 60k/6k spend offer here (link originally from US Credit Card Guide): https://citicards.citi.com/usc/LPACA/AA/AAdvantage/Lounge/ps/index.html?BT_TX=1&ProspectID=3877FA62FD344C80AFFFB1EC7FA886D6

The 48 months is for any citi AAdvantage card or specifically this one? I received the bonus for the regular one in july 2021

It’s 10,000 Loyalty Points, not EQMs as stated in the article. EQMs no longer exist.

My wife’s application got approved for 85K offer. You have to put 99999 in the referral code section.

Thx

A different sweetened offer just popped up for me when on the AA site itself. It’s 80k instead of 85k, but it’s for just $5,500 spend instead of $6,500 … https://creditcards.aa.com/citi-executive-card-american-airlines-bau/?utm_medium=referral&utm_source=aa&utm_campaign=herobau

I miss the good ol’ days when this was 100K with a $200 statement credit and they let you sign up as often as you liked.

If you were previously shut down by AA…is there any chance of getting another AAdvantage number?
