Our Verdict
This offer was offered last year as well. Standard bonus is 60,000 miles. It used to be possible to apply for an offer with a statement credit and then match to the higher miles offer but that hasn’t been possible for a long time now so this is the best variation for this card.
Just be sure you qualify for the bonus (have not received in past 48 months) before signing up or you won’t get the bonus. We will add this to our list of the best credit card bonuses.

I opened this card last April. The statement I recently received does not show the first Annual Fee. I think the Annual Fee will appear on the next statement.
If I do not wish to pay this Annual Fee, do I try to downgrade (or ask for it to be waived, or some other retention) NOW, before the AF has yet to be charged and appear on a statement, or do I wait to receive the statement containing the AF and then contact them? Thanks!
i applied and they gave me the stupidest reason for denial. they claimed they have a new system and any current citi credit history is not taken into account and they claimed i have very limited credit history whoch isn’t true at all. i have history of over 10 yrs and visible. dumb
are these mailers tied to my name? I have a few and a friend was interested in applying using one of my mailer codes.
I got an 80,000 miles offer through the mail.
Requires $4,000 spend in four months.
Approved this morning at 5/24, 818 CS, last bonus was 2018. Pulled EQ. 0% utilization. 9400 CL. 2 other injuries in the last 12 months (Mar24, Dec24), last new card on EQ was Oct23.
Citi seems to be generous with credit lines, between all my cards with them I’m at 60% of income for limits.
I got bonus for Citi AA business in december, can I get bonus for personal citi AA?
I am also interested in the answer to this question
Hey everyone, sorry if this is posted somewhere (and if it is, can you give me a link) – I am wondering if you are allowed to get both the Citi AAdvantage sign up bonus as well as the Barclays AAdvantage sign up bonuses? I received a SUB from Barclays last fall 2024 and would love to do this Citi bonus as well.
Thank you!
As far as I know it doesn’t matter. I received the Barclays AA bonus in June 2023 and the Citi AA Business bonus in May 2024. I just applied for this card as well but was declined, however I’m at 6/24 so I don’t think it had anything to do with my other AA cards.
Ah okay, thank you! I am at 5/24 right now because my Grandpa added me as an authorized user on the Barclays Aviator Red card – do you know if I cancel the authorized user will that fall off my 5/24?
Also, I had another really important question – can I close the authorized user on my Barclays Aviator card now without getting my AA miles clawed back? I got SUB end of last year.
Thanks 🙂
I can confirm: I applied for the Citi card and the Barclays on the same night, about a month ago, and got approved for both. I’m just finishing both SUB’s and there doesn’t seem to be any interference.

Should I contact and try to switch the offer? Is 500 points worth spending $500 extra?
Did you select “citizen” in the application? Not sure if this affects credit line.
