Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite MasterCard – 75,000 Miles

Update 2/12/25: Deal is back

The Offer

  • Earn 75,000 American Airline miles after $3,500 in spend within the first four months.

Card Details

Our Verdict

This offer was offered last year as well. Standard bonus is 60,000 miles. It used to be possible to apply for an offer with a statement credit and then match to the higher miles offer but that hasn’t been possible for a long time now so this is the best variation for this card.

Just be sure you qualify for the bonus (have not received in past 48 months) before signing up or you won’t get the bonus. We will add this to our list of the best credit card bonuses.

Hey everyone, sorry if this is posted somewhere (and if it is, can you give me a link) – I am wondering if you are allowed to get both the Citi AAdvantage sign up bonus as well as the Barclays AAdvantage sign up bonuses? I received a SUB from Barclays last fall 2024 and would love to do this Citi bonus as well.

Thank you!

As far as I know it doesn’t matter. I received the Barclays AA bonus in June 2023 and the Citi AA Business bonus in May 2024. I just applied for this card as well but was declined, however I’m at 6/24 so I don’t think it had anything to do with my other AA cards.

Am I eligible for this SUB if I just received the Citi AA Biz sub this month? Pre approved for the Personal card so quite enticing.

Got mailer for 80k points.

Personally will skip it. At 3/5 – Will downgrade CSP and open new in August

Will hold 4th card for Alaska premium card.

P1 and P2 both approved. 800+ CS, under 5/24. Last got this SUB in 2018. Got the Citi AA Biz SUB a few months ago.

I got turned down last year , 800+ CS & haven’t had any Citi business or personal card since 2018. Lack of utilization on existing cards. How much usage of other cards did you have?

Nothing after hitting the minimum spend for the SUB.

Should I take the risk? Looks like Citibank is declining a lot of applications due to too much unused credit or low utilization to filter out churners lately.

I have the Citi AA Plat Biz card and earned a bonus in 4/2020 – the card is still open and up for renewal – plan to cancel unless retention is offered – can that card still be open while I apply for this offer or does it need to be closed? thanks
