Our Verdict
Standard increased bonus on this card is 75,000 miles. It used to be possible to apply for an offer with a statement credit and then match to the higher miles offer but that hasn’t been possible for a long time now. Some people will prefer this statement credit offer whereas others will prefer the miles offer. We will add this to our best credit card bonus page.
Hat tip to reader Carl J
I applied for the business version but got denied instantly. The letter I received in the mail stated the reason “length of time accounts have been established on your credit report”. What does this mean?
Did they ever offer 75,000 miles and $400 cash credit?
Will wait for the 75k offer again. If this offer was a $400 cash credit + 30k, I would probably apply.
Question:
In regards to this language, if I opened a business card last year and have not opened an individual account or received a bonus in over 4 years, am I eligible?
Thanks.
Believe you are fine. The cards are treated as separate products for the 48 month rule. Also I don’t think “opening or closing” Citi AA cards is relevant anymore for bonus qualification i.e. the closing card clause does not apply here. Believe the post is out of date in this respect. I was instantly denied last week for low credit utilization (1%) and recent card application ~85 days prior. Called recon, got a nice employee who entertained my plea. She put me on hold for a couple minutes, and said it has to do something your credit report and is out of our control or something along those lines. she said nothing we can do, wait for the letter. If its something wrongly reported, get it fixed, and hard check apply again if interested. Didnt hang up and call again though.
In the process of lowering all my credit limits and will try Citi again. Only have a checking account with them
Sorry DOC for the duplicate post, wanted to mention the instant denial and recon part
thank you for this DP, it’s helpful since P2 got similar denial. I have not had him recon yet since I need to prep him lol so much easier if I can pretend to be him sigh will lowering CL help with recon?
I was denied for low credit utilization last week for previous offer. My utilization sits at 1% In the process of lowering all my credit limits and will try again

Link shows it’s up and running fine on my end
Click back button if you get redirected
Remember – Citi has been denying for ‘too much available credit’.
Yeah me and p2 were denied last month for that. Or too little usage of current credit.
what do you do in this case, got denial for that as well. lowering CL I assume?
This is back.
