Citi has added Walgreens as a shop with points partner. You can apply 1,250 Citi ThankYou points for a $10 discount. That works out to be 0.8¢, that’s truly terrible value and isn’t worth using.

This is aimed at people like my 80 year old father in law. He can’t help himself and gets all excited when the checkout lets him use points. No matter how many times I tell him it’s not a good value… all he sees is “free.”
