[Expired]Citi Cardholders Get Free 4-Month (or more) Amazon Music Subscription

This deal has expired, never miss another deal by signing up for notifications.

The Offer

Direct Link (contains our affiliate link)

  • Citi and Amazon have partnered to offer a 4 month trial for Amazon Music Unlimited

It’s the standard 1-month free trial with an additional three months with this Citi promo. Make sure to use a personal Citi card at checkout; don’t use a business card, nor a Costco or Chairman card. After the free trial, price will revert to the standard $7.99 for Prime members and $9.99 for non-Prime.

The Fine Print

  • For a limited time, Citi cardmembers get a promotional credit for $30 toward an Amazon Music Unlimited Individual Plan (only works on an individual plan, not family or student plan). New subscribers to Amazon Music Unlimited also receive a 30 day trial which combines with this promotion to the equivalent of a minimum of 4 month trial.
  • Must signup by 11:59pm (PT) on November 14, 2017.
  • Promotional code “CITIMUSIC” is applied to your account when clicking the link above.
  • Offer is limited to new Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers.
  • Offer is limited to eligible Citi Card customers. Eligible Citi cards include consumer branded Citi Credit or Debit cards, except Costco and Chairman Citi Credit cards.
  • Offer is limited to one per customer and account.
  • Digital content and services may only be available to customers located in the U.S. and are subject to the terms and conditions of Amazon Digital Services LLC.
  • If you violate any of these terms, the offer will be invalid.
  • Amazon reserves the right to modify or cancel the offer at any time.
  • Unless you notify us before the end of the free trial that you do not want to auto renew, your Amazon Music Unlimited plan will automatically continue and you will be charged a fee for the plan using any payment method we have on record for you.

Our Verdict

It’s being advertised as “4 months free,” but if I’m reading the terms correctly, it’ll actually be more than 5 months free for Prime members since it comes in the form of a $30 Music credit (not three free months), and Prime members pay just $7.99 per month. It should end up 4 months free for non-Prime (1 month trial + $30 for three months), and more than 5 months free for Prime members (one month trial + 4 months at $7.99 per month).

Really appreciate if you use our affiliate link to signup for Amazon Music. We usually get a nice little bonus per signup, and I imagine we’ll get it this time too (despite promo code). I don’t think you’d get any JetBlue points regardless since you aren’t paying anything, so it’s a win-win situation.

Be sure to notate your calendar to cancel before the four months are up.

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY!!

Posting this hoping to help anyone that still has not done this deal. Looks like right now, you can get 3 months for 99¢ as well as the CITIMUSIC deal.

“3 months for $0.99 – Limited Time Only
$0.00 per month after – The following promotion applies after your free trial: CITIMUSIC offer.”

See my screen shot from earlier today: https://1drv.ms/i/s!Am3jwtTkhRtwx95VgvEFeRTQ3OaQEw

Good luck!

Here to confirm that cancelling immediately after starting the free trial will make this service last only through the limits of the free trial. Mark calendars to remember to cancel before you get charged if you keep it for 4 months.

I also remember getting reimbursed once after forgetting to cancel a Prime free trial, so keep that in mind if you forget to cancel before a charge hits.

Can I use a Citi American Airlines card for this promo?

Thanks – it does work. Just wanted to confirm as the T&C’s mentioned Costco branded cards were excluded.

Signed up using your link.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Almost thought it was down, but then I realized I has to switch to the citi card BEFORE attempting the promo code.

Anyone else getting “The promotion is not valid or has expired.” when trying to sign up? I’ve tried both the affiliate link and manually entering the code. I use Amazon Prime Music, but I have never had Unlimited.

Yes I got the same message but my Citi card wasn’t in my Amazon act. Once I added it the error went away and I was able to sign up.

DP – already had a free trial earlier this year; as predicted by this post, I receive a “The promotion is not valid” notification

So, annoying! Thinking of switching accounts on one of out Echos to use this. Our T-Moblie credit expires at the end of this week (3.99/mo single Echo plan, but CSR told me remaining credit expires 9/30).

I assume people that have an Echo could do the $3.99/mo deal as well.

I also signed up using the link – while the email that Amazon sent said that the subscription was only for 30 days in the setting it shows that after 30 days the charge is $0, which is when the free 4 months will start. Thank you Doc.

Switched to annual and the Citi promo disappeared. Thankfully, it reappeared after switching back to monthly.
