Citi has announced the Q1 2025 rotating 5% categories on the Citi Dividend: Amazon & Select streaming services. Select streaming services include: Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Music, Apple Music, Disney+, DirecTV Stream, ESPN+, fuboTV, Max, NBA League Pass, Netflix, Pandora, Paramount+, Showtime, Sling TV, Spotify, Starz, SiriusXM, Vudu, YouTube Red, YouTube TV, and Tidal.
Average categories but at least with Citi you don’t need to max out each quarter.
Citi is now reducing credit lines for none use of credit cards or low annual spending levels.
Interestingly, they’ve been offering me credit line INCREASES for cards I don’t use.
Does anyone know if Prime Membership fee qualifies as “Prime Video” for the 5x?
I haven’t had a single penny of rewards post to my Divi since my July statement. cool cool. My options are to have someone put eyes on my account(yikes) or change to a custom which I should have done years ago
This card is actually not that good. The cashback requires $50 to cash out. And the balance expires after certain time. I lost so many cashback because of it.
Wow. I didn’t know about the $50 cashout threshold.
How long do you have between earning points and expiration? I’ve had these cards for years and I’ve never run into my points expiring, so I’m guessing it’s decent amount of time. I only cash out every 1-2 years
The terms say rewards expire after 12 months of purchase inactivity. I make at least one purchase a year and haven’t lost any rewards.
I have a feeling chase q1 categories will be lame too.
Need grocery or warehouse club!!!
Citi Custom Cash amigo. One pays all the utilities, the other is for groceries.
CCC pays 5% for utilities? Utilities are not listed as a cashback bonus.
Utilities is not a 5% category. They are probably confusing it with Cash+.
Sorry, citi for gas and grocery, and US Bank Cash+ for utils.
It’s a staple for us too. I only wish $500 limit was raised or at least allowed to roll over somehow. These days with prices what they are, we blow through it every single month.
Just saw in the chase thread, 5% on groceries in q1 2025! What a coincidence.
Change you product change into this card?
Weird to me that they don’t offer this anymore, Discover and Chase have had theirs for years so its clearly sustainable, especially since they could always just choose crappier categories if they had to.
This was actually the first 5% card.
Agreed. They keep supporting this card, why not make it available for new sign ups as the “Citi Strata Dividend” or as a product change option.
If they don’t want to support it anymore, Citi could product change everyone to the similar Citi Custom Cash.
I had this card back when it was simply a 1%/2% cash back card, before it was a 5% rotating category card. Somehow they automatically switched me to a Double Cash (not that I am complaining). I thought they shut it down entirely only to find out recently they still supporting this card.
Agreed with the sentiment here, others can do this, why not Citi? I think it’s because Citi’s whole consumer business is just inconsistent and overall terrible. Some of their policies and ease of doing business is a far cry from the other companies. Hopefully the whole Strata project signals an investment in the right direction, but we will have to wait and see.
Meh. Maybe something good will come up next quarter
Amazon is a decent category. Discover went that route this quarter (Q4 2024).
Better deals q4 2024 on Amazon rather than q1 2025, unless We purchase Amazon gift card reloads. Chase will follow with Amazon Q2 2025. They don’t compete against each other anymore.
