Anybody know if the offer is triggered by the posting date or the charge date? I have charges that have posted just now and the offer is no longer available. But clicking on the charge shows the original charge date before the offer expired.

My offers show redeemed for 2 Citi cards. Both on 11/14. However no credit has actually posted on either card.
Is this a problem? Does anyone know if the credit takes a very long time or does NOT post at all? Thanks.

I think they may show up in the next statement – I redeemed my Uber Eats offer on 11/17, shows up under Redeemed on 11/20, and the actual discount came off of the next statement as the first transaction.

YMMV though – I would contact support if the credits don’t show up during your next statement period.

So far buying 3rd party gcs online didn’t trigger the offer for me on any of the cards. Did anyone get $15

Check under the redeem offer tab and see if it shows anything. Usually, it shows redeemed first and then it takes a few days or 1 to 2 weeks for the credit to post depending on the merchant.

Wow thanks for this – was not aware of this tab; bought Amazon gc a week ago and credit not showing on activity yet, but shows up under Redeemed. Used it as a test and glad it worked.

I’d like to stack either Chase’s 5% Paypal or Discover’s 5% Digital Wallet promos. Do you have to charge the transaction directly to your Citi card or can you use PayPal or Apple Pay?

There is no way to stack them like that – these offers require paying directly on the Citi cards, whereas the other 2 offers require using Chase or Discover cards. They’re mutually exclusive.

Tangentially related – I would avoid paying via PayPal even if you use Citi, as it didn’t trigger an Uber Eats offer for me (vs adding the card number directly as a payment method on Uber Eats worked).

Does this have to be $150 in a single purchase or cumulatively during the offer period. I looked but didnt see anywhere that it had to be done in a single purchase.

It says “on a purchase of…” so that seems to indicate a single purchase. And DPs in this thread warn against multiple items shipped in a single purchase to avoid the split charges.

Can this be done back to back? As in buy $150 of Amazon cards, then another $150 of Amazon cards, in the same day, on two transactions?

William Charles Amex Offers just added a similar deal: $25 off $250 (the $250 spend can be spread across one or more transactions).

Will this work online for the $200 Airbnb gift card promo going on right now? Or are third party gift cards not coded as Best Buy?

I had this offer on multiple citi cards, but wasn’t interested in the low ball offer. Now the offer is gone across all my cards, so it seems that it’s limited to a certain amount of redemptions (those who added offer to acct).

As others have mentioned, Best Buy likes to break down purchases into several smaller transactions. I know 3 e-GC of $50 is likely to produce that result, but I just trade a transaction of 3 physical $50 GC and so far it looks promising. .
