The Offer

You can get a nice Citi Offer and SimplyMiles deal when doing a car rental from Lyft Car Rentals (yes, that’s a thing) and paying with Mastercard:

  • Citi Offers: get 20% back on your first Lyft Car Rentals with Mastercard. Max $50 back.
  • American Airlines SimplyMiles: get 9x miles per $1 spent on Lyft Car Rentals with Mastercard. Max 2,325 miles.

The Fine Print

  • Both offers expire on July 31, 2022
  • Limited-time offer on Lyft Rentals: Lyft users may receive 20% back (up to $50) on their first Lyft Car Rentals when using their Mastercard. Whether such rental car qualifies as an eligible rental for purposes of the offer will be determined at Mastercard’s and Lyft’s discretion. Restrictions apply. Does not apply to Lyft rideshare. Lyft not available in all locations, including Puerto Rico. By using Lyft, you agree to Lyft’s Terms of Service.

Our Verdict

The Citi Offer gets maxed out with a $500 rental and the SimplyMiles offer gets maxed out with a $259 offer. Nice stack here if you can get a good rate. Hopefully there are no issues with the credit card covering collision insurance with Lyft Rentals.

Rented with them at LAX three months ago. Very smooth process, nice vehicles, and friendly employees.
