“Citi are offering a transfer bonus of up to 40% ”

The 40% is from the old promo, right?

I assume this is the same as https://www.qatarairways.com/en/Privilege-Club/offers/convert-rewards-to-avios.html . Someone correct me if this is not the case.

In the above link, if I transfer 31000, do I get 31000*1.3 = 40300 or do I get 30000*1.2 + 1000*1.3 = 37300.

You would get 30% above 30k points transfer, so here it would be 40300. Also, note the bonus points won’t be instant, the terms clearly say, “All bonus Avios earned will reflect in your Privilege Club account by 15th Dec 2022.”

Checkout T&Cs, “The bonus Avios awarded will be 20% of the number of base Avios (up to 30,000) converted in a single transaction, and 30% of the number of base Avios (over 30,000) converted in a single transaction.”

This was the source of confusion for me. 30% of the number of base Avios (over 30,000) could imply 20% upto 30k and 30% for anything over, similar to marginal tax rates. So for 31000, it would be 30000*1.2 + 1000*1.3 = 37300.

Or it could imply all base Avios converted gets 30% extra if it is over 30000.

Any clarity is much appreciated.

I’m not seeing this on the points transfer page of the website.

Yes, on the transfer page it’s still 1:1, Qatar is offering a 30% bonus if you transfer from Citi but that’s on their end, not Citi’s. It’s a different offer. https://www.qatarairways.com/en/Privilege-Club/offers/convert-rewards-to-avios.html

Are we talking about this? I was hoping Citi is offering 30%, and Qatar’s another 30% that might stack together, allowing a total transfer = 1.3*1.3 = 1.69 (69% more bonus, if you hold Rewards+, that’s another 10% rebate), which is HUGE!! Please  Chuck check the link, it’s broken.

Link dead. Clarification – is the offer 30 or 40%? Text doesn’t match title.

I think the page is linked from an old page, when Citi offered 40% bonus. Check the very last link on the post.
