- Bonus will be deposited to your qualifying checking account within 145 days of opening your new checking account and will be labeled as “Balance Builder Bonus.”

Avoiding Fees
Monthly fee of $9.99 is waived if you have a deposit of any amount to the checking account that month. We couldn’t locate their fee schedule so I am unsure if there is any early account termination fee or not.
Our Verdict
This is a pretty good bonus considering there is no hard pull, you can fund $1,000 with a credit card and there is no direct deposit requirement. I would complete this bonus if I lived within the target area, but unfortunately I do not. I’ve added it to our list of the best bank bonuses and also included it in our complete list of checking bonuses.

I know this might sound absurd, but does anyone happen to still have (or remember) the offer code for the USPS $200 offer last year? I opened the account online (which I regret, should have done it in branch) at the end of Oct and the $200 bonus still hasn’t posted. I worry even if I walk to a branch to demand the bonus they might ask for the code. Thank you all!
Well, Citizen’s finally paid the “Balance Builder” bonus of $150 for the account I opened at the beginning of August! They maintain that they had until the beginning of Jan 2016 to pay it out. Whatever, they finally paid it. It was good, I learned that the account wasn’t for me, in that they charge a $3 fee for external Bank Transfers, a fee I avoided by merely withdrawing by ATM then depositing the sum at my other bank. I’ve closed the account, no early termination fee. Now the only Bank I’m waiting on is Citibank, they still haven’t paid out the Thank you points for opening my Citigold account!! Banks!!!!
Same here…I signed up one for mid August and one for my wife for late August and just got the payment this week. I am still waiting on my keybank bonuses which we signed up for late October.
I like how Chase, Huntington, and Fifth Third pay their bonuses quickly!
Anyone try a Citi AA Platinum Business credit card as the funding source?
I transferred $100 from a Cap One 360 and 1 Business Day later I got the $200 in my account!!!!!
Link not working. Seems like this offer is expired.
Anyone know how long this takes to go through? I was sent an email requesting a utility bill and copy of drivers license sent within 7 business days. Had my family send but no word yet (3ish weeks later). I’m out of the country so can’t go in branch myself, was hoping to set it up and ready for when I return. Rather not make a family member truck it to a branch.
I finally got a hold of someone and they said while my paperwork was approved there was “a problem with my application” and they can’t tell me what it is on the phone. I never received anything from them in the mail and told them this. They said to apply again, better to go in branch, but the branch said the offer is expired. WTF? HUCA?
I tried calling again at different times/days but kept getting the same person. Hope this didn’t go on Chex, it’d be a drag since they didn’t approve. Hoping for better luck with Discover (approved)
When I click on “Email my coupon code” I get the following message:
Sorry a technical error occurred
Please try again later.
Any advice?
I had the same thing happen to me on 10/10. I called the number and was able to open over the phone. Gave my coupon code from the email and was able to fund with credit card with the minimum deposit $25. Took less than 10 minutes.
Hello, I am an NY State resident.
1. Can I open the account online and get the $150?
2. If I go to open it in a NJ branch, should I pay taxes in NJ on my entire yearly income
Thank you so much!
How long does it take for the funding from CC to appear in your account? I funded with my new AA Exec card and the funds are not yet in my account.
I think it took 2-3 days for me
Thanks Mark.
