Our Verdict

We’ve seen a number of other similar offers in the past. This one was sent out via email, and it seems to be publicly available via the link, above.

Remember that you can get the CLEAR fee reimbursed if you have an American Express Platinum or Business Platinum card, and this deal lets you net $100 travel credit along the way. It could even make sense to do the deal with no interest in the CLEAR membership at all for the travel credit. In the past these types of deals have worked even if you don’t complete the membership in airport. YMMV.

CHOICE Rebate is a scam. Don’t waste your time on it.
If you look up mycr.co on whois registration, the domain name actually expire on Aug 18 2024, which probably means they will disappear in Aug with no intention on paying out the rebate.

Their company: Customer Service Network Group is already notorious as one of post have shown. CHOICE Rebate is just a shell.
Also look up True Incentive which is closely related to Customer Service Network Group (ran by same group of people).

Anyone else wondering if we could book a refundable hotel or flight and submit the receipt with full intention to cancel later? Doesn’t seem to be anything in the terms that says otherwise.

Does the trip have to be completed for one to file the rebate? Or once one has paid for the reservation, it is good to file the rebate?

William Charles  Chuck There is a lot of funny business going on with these vouchers. They were numbered sequentially so a bunch of bad actors registered people’s vouchers and submitted receipts. Now their IT just reset ALL vouchers in their system including ones that had been registered and receipts submitted by correct person. May be worth a repost. Besides some forums I don’t have a good source sorry.

Yes, these are quite bad. I have multiple since I signed multiple family members up for CLEAR with this promo. I had submitted receipts for two of them and had just registered the remaining but not submitted on them yet. ALL of my vouchers were reset. I needed to use separate email addresses when re-registering them. I guess they seem to think scammers will not have multiple email addresses. I strongly suspect I will continue to have headaches trying to get these redeemed since I have multiple vouchers obtained legitimately.

if their IT is this bad, should you really give your biometrics to them? I’ve been debating this for a long time whether TSA Pre is enough

This is a separate company not CLEAR providing the voucher

Does the receipt of the ‘travel’ booking need to be on the name of the same person as the CLEAR holder?

Any idea how this gets paid out after submission and approval of receipt? Check? ACH? gift card? PayPal? I can’t find any information on their website.

When you submit receipt online, you can choose between digital payment or paper check. For digital, they will send you an email to redeem via ACH, PayPal, etc.

When I tried registering my certificate number, it showed “Email address does not match”. Does anyone face the same?

If you got the voucher, redeem it asap because bad actors can just brute force the site and redeem your voucher with just the number. Bad IT decisions on Choice’s part.

Try to submit the receipt from your Clear purchase if you don’t have anything else. It’s travel related.

Be careful: the receipt date needs to be between the registration date and expiration date.
