I wonder why it is $24 for some of us.

The ComEd rebate is $75 and the Nicor gas rebate is $25. You need both to get it for free.

I got the same problem. Why couldn’t I get the Nicor gas rebate?

Do you pay a Nicor gas bill? Some apartments/condos have common bills where it’s included in the HOA or rent and or only pay for usage. It’s also possible that both ComEd and Nicor might have to be under the same name.

Please don’t buy if you don’t need. These rebates are subsidized by ComEd customers in the form of grossly high taxes and fees. ComEd is a corrupt company, currently in trouble for illegal lobbying in the state and long known for padding its profits by essentially bribing politicians. Don’t get one to resell or whatever. You’re just hurting your neighbors. Besides, their Black Friday deals are a much better value if you truly need a smart thermostat.

$5 shipping with full tax ($8.32 for me). Still steeply discounted, at least according to camelcamelcamel’s price history for its Amazon listing.

That’s because ComEd only serves Northern Illinois. 🙂

Luckily that’s me, so thanks for posting.

William Charles $5 for shipping and $8.32 for tax
