Comenity has sent out a letter to existing True Value Discover co-branded credit card holders that this card will be discontinued on March 6th, 2020. As far as I know this was the last/only Discover co-branded card. It doesn’t look like Comenity will be converting this to another card.
Now there are only discover debit cards issued by other banks
Looks like my goal card just went out the window. Such a cruel world
Does anyone else find it curious how Discover is completely leaving the cobranded/third party issuer business? Meanwhile Amex seems to be expanding their reach in cobranding cards, as with the case of the Wells Fargo Propel. Discover and Amex both want to increase their acceptance and and usage to match Visa and MasterCard yet both are taking the opposite approach.
Discover still has some third party debit cards issued by smaller banks. I guess Discover hasn’t made enough money on partnerships or licensing agreements to warrant expansion.
Dang, I was just about to apply for this
Vaguely recalled that there was once a Walmart co-brand. But, yeah, it has been long dead.

i remember seeing one discover credit card from cathay bank a long time ago. but it disappeared now.
I remember seeing it too, Cathays cards was backed by First Bankcard/FNBO but they switched over to another issuer last year. FNBO discontinued it in 2016 I believe.
