MilesBuyer.com has been in the miles buying business for nearly 3 years and has a great track record of quick payments. It’s run by a man who goes by the name of Eli.
Are They A Scam?
There are only positive reports of people selling their points to Eli and milesbuyer.com, it’s good to know that this business has been around for nearly 3 years without any negative reviews. One thing a lot of people like about milesbuyer is that they don’t need access to your points account (you just transfer the points) which is different to a lot of the other buyers.
What Points Do They Buy?
Eli doesn’t provide a full list of the points they buy and you must contact him to get a quote. We’ve sent an e-mail to Eli to get his current rates and will update this once he has replied.
What Points Do They Sell?
They don’t currently sell any points.
The Verdict
Eli & milesbuyer.com is definitely another site you should get a quote from before you sell your points.
I haven’t heard back from emails/quote requests to MB.com in months. Anyone know if they are still in operation…?
Absolutely atrocious experience with this company.
I had contacted them back in February to sell my Emirates skyward miles. They emailed me a $750 quote. My miles were expiring on March 31st and they let me know they needed to buy miles with a longevity of at least 6 months. They suggested I call Emirates to extend them and then call them back to sell. I did just that. Emirates (outstanding customer service) told me right away that because of Covid all miles across their platform were extended for 6 months after their expiry date. I contacted miles buyer again who refused to buy my miles until my statement was updated with the new expiry date. Bummer but I went on with it. I received my updated statement from Emirates showing the new expiry date of August 31st 2022 and called back miles buyer as well as emailed them with all my details. They quoted me $680 for 68k emirates miles. I asked that the previous quote be matched which they accepted only to tell me in a second email ten minutes after that they were no longer buying Emirates miles. Big time wasters! I ended up selling my miles to another company who paid me right away. AVOID AT ALL COST!
Which company did you use? Trying to find a legit site.
Sold my miles with Eli and his team several times. Super easy, very professional, and they offered me the best rates for my miles (trust me, I received quotes from MANY other companies). highly recommended.
Like dealing with immature children, reached out to get quote, theirs came in lowest of the bunch after I told them I’m considering other offers where buyers are will to cover pp fees they withdrew their offer out of spite. If you want to deal with these clowns go for it ( Ben is the guy who responded just FYI )
Just sold my Max mile this morning. I got email from Milebuyer within one hour that deposited money in Paypal account. It was really there.
I am impressed with their Professional approach to handle the transaction.
I strongly recommend this company.

Email milesbuyer on my united miles for 80k pts they offered to pay $900 I accepted gave them my PayPal within 10 minutes I got an alert deposit $900 into account. I was shock didn’t even exchange account info yet and Noah the broker who I was working with already paid I appreciated that they trust me before handing over any info highly recommended looking to work with in the future!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sent my miles and Paypal ID. Paid promptly with Paypal taking 3% fee. Then receive emails from Ben using a gmail account requesting Mileage Plus # and answers to all security questions along with login name and password. Okay not too bad I thought. But then the red flag of a possible Scam. Wants me to give them my credit card number so they can charge me for taxes and fees to book the tickets they will buy with my miles I sold them. NO WAY Will I get about my credit card information So just be aware I did not fall for this and be careful how you handle your transaction
That is the process its there business and if they scam you of using your card for other reason you can give them a bad review and it will hurt there reputation but when they charge it on your card they still reimburse you back the whole amount they need your card because the account is i your name so if your skeptical like majority of Hunan being in this world don’t do business!
the best thing you can do in this situation for this particular seller is just to give them a virtual account number. Lessens the risk significantly.
