Our Verdict
American Eagle offered a $150 bonus earlier in the year, this is obviously $50 less with the same requirements but seems to be available at all branches. They are also offering a 3% APY 5 month CD that might be useful to some readers.

Back at $200. Only for select counties, but can open online. Valid 9/6-10/22 https://www.americaneagle.org/Checking-Promotion William Charles Chuck
Will have a post this weekend
I can’t find the 3% CD on their website. Do you have a link?

There’s a $100 bonus again from 1/21- 2/29 (https://www.americaneagle.org/Checking-Promotion). It’s broken up $50 for opening a checking account and $50 for $250+ of direct deposit within 60 days. The page doesn’t seem to specify if it has to be opened in branch or not. If it can be opened online, the application allows for credit card funding.
But the “open a checking account” button doesn’t work – so probably in-branch only. Also to join the CU you must “live, work, worship, or attend school in Hartford, Middlesex, Tolland, or New Haven County in Connecticut, and Hampden County, Massachusetts. You also can join American Eagle FCU if you have an immediate family member who’s an American Eagle FCU member, or if you live in the same household as a current American Eagle FCU member.” So probably is not nation-wide.
Yah, I noticed that the other day. You can go to the “Quick Links” drop-down in the upper right and select ” Open an Account”. Then from that page, the “Open Now” button on the right side works.
