Dell Cancelled XBOX Giftcard Orders Showing Up Today (Developing)

This is bizarre. We’re well aware of Dell’s propensity for cancelling orders, especially those for XBOX gift codes. Today, many people are seeing their cancelled orders delivered to their Dell digital locker. This is even for orders from many months back. And even when the credit card has already been cancelled.

This is like an IT glitch. Hopefully they were loosening the rules on order approvals (we can hope, right?) and the new rules mistakenly applied backward in time as well. If they go ahead now and charge everyone’s credit cards for these purchases it’ll become a mess. More likely they’ll realize the mistake and invalidate all of the delivered XBOX codes. Developing…

I had held off on using the codes, as I wanted to avoid the situation where they charged them to cards I had already used my Dell credits on, locked out my account for alleged theft, or both, which would prevent future monetization of this credits across multiple cards.

At some point in the past couple of weeks, my codes were deactivated.
“Contact whomever you got this code from. It can’t be redeemed.”

I also see “returned” in my Dell Digital Locker.

If they never come at everyone who redeemed them instantly, oh well. That was the risk I took to avoid giving Dell a reason to target me with their otherwise randomly targeted wrath.

Wish Dell would put the Xbox GCs back on their website.

I emailed Dell customer care and explained that I redeemed gift cards that I wasn’t charged for. They were useless and unable to understand the situation even after explaining many times. I also emailed fraud protection who eventually told me: “Both the orders shows cancelled and we don’t think you are supposed to pay for them.”

I don’t see the “Products” section in “Dell Digital Locker”, and consequently no gift cards are visible anymore. This was a new account so no previous orders to display.

Dell website is no longer showing the Microsoft XBOX Giftcard. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Don’t know if I can use the Amex credit for this year or just wait to get charged back from Dell. Either way, I hope Dell can give a quick and definite answer about the resolution. I don’t want to find out that 3 months later my card is suddenly charged.

Same, but didn’t hear the one per account thing. Just low stock “try again in a few days” now I see they are gone from website. I created a new account and used an employee card. That order has been sitting pending for over 2 days, but not canceled yet…so there’s that.

how can you run out of stock on a digital item? all it takes is a quick communication between dell and microsoft to generate new codes, a process that could be automated.
Amazon does not run out of e Gift cards
