Daytime flight options from the West Coast to Japan aren’t terrible in Y as long as you’re not in a 787 or a 3-4-3 777.

Also, I booked west coast to Tokyo direct round trip for 47600 miles. Pretty nice deal for any mileage program.

Meanwhile, a 1.5 hr one way domestic flight is 19,000 sky pesos.

It’s pretty funny they call it a “sale”

for my city (west coast) these are the same miles prices I’ve been seeing for months. No change even it’s listed under their sale page. Even when I search dates outside the sales dates, it’s still the same price.

At least for my city, I would call this a fake sale.

Seattle has main cabin to Taipei for 60k +39

$873 fare represents a value of $834. 1.4 cents a delta mile is excellent.

I was checking for a different city, and what I mean is the listed “sale” price is the same as it was a month ago as it was two months ago. It says “sale” but it’s actually the same price as 1 month and 2 months ago when I checked.. but yes the price is OK to Taipei. Do you know why? It’s because there are 4 airlines serving a not so popular route and they are all intensely competing. I was hoping when I saw this post though that the price would be LOWER than what I saw previously.. but it’s the same.

Seattle to TPE is only 18k. These deals are turning skypesos into skyeuros

From my city the sale has been extended into May and June and in all honestly how much lower do you expect it to get? Also this is not widely known but from my experience basic economy flights booked with miles can be refunded even up until the same day of flight.

hmmm? For Delta? I’ve read over and over that Delta Basic miles bookings cannot be refunded. One of us better double check that.. but I’ve read that several times on FlyerTalk

With cash it can’t be refunded but that doesn’t apply to award bookings. I booked basic econ months ago, it still lets me cancel for a full refund.
