 William Charles I agree that to some destinations they are weak if you don’t need any of their highlighted routes, but was looking to book PDX-MCO for Spring 2020 for a Timeshare vacation run for the family.

RT PDX-MCO for $264/pp but after Delta Pt Biz promo $500 statement credit only $139/pp (or $188 if you inc AF) or 19K miles RT/pp. Or about ~2cpp +/- esp compared to cash price of other TransCon flights on domestic legacy carriers. Also saw RT PDX-HNL 31K SM

FWIW I played around with some of the SEA deals listed on the link but swapped PDX and found similar +/- 1K~3K fares to same destination.

So if you live nearby another Delta departing hub on the list and are head to a destination (or nearby Delta city) reasonable cash/awards can be found.

Not sure, kind of hard to tell because of how the Algos prices awards seats for Delta’s dynamic award pricing, have a better feel for cash prices on domestic travel. We’ve just moved into amassing Delta miles, as well we mainly fly the legacy carriers and not sprint, frontiers and other lcc, last time I did was pre-9/11.

I do hope that Delta runs the 2X vacation for miles promo again in the future, seems that some deals can be had.
