Update 10/27/23: This partnership deal is ending on 11/10/23
Original Post 2/19/22:
Delta has announced that starting next week it has a new partnership with Instacart. Delta members will be able to earn the following rates when linking their account to Instacart:
- Earn 1x mile per $1 spent on Instacart purchases
- Earn 1.5x miles per $1 spent on Instacart Express purchases
There is no sign up bonus when linking your account for the first time. You can view Instacart promo codes here.
As per an email from Instacart, this partnership is ending 11-10-23.
Thanks I’ll update
This is nice I’ll rack up a few extra thousand miles per year on grocery spend. And just to clarify – the Delta news release makes it sound like express members will earn 1.5x on spend, not 1.5 spend on express purchases.
Someone needs to create a graph to explain the relationship among all these linked awards/”free” memberships that come with Amazon Prime, AmEx, Chase Sapphire, Chase United, Delta, Instacart, Uber One, Lyft Pink, GrubHub+, Dashpass etc
It’s cheaper and easier to just not buy stuff!
Medallions get free Instacart Express, I guess that’s the sign up bonus?
If you’re a Diamond or Platinum Medallion member with Delta, you’ll receive 12 free months of Instacart Express.
If you’re a Gold or Silver Medallion Member or General SkyMiles Member, you’ll receive 3 free months of Instacart Express.
Just connected mine in the Instacart app. Very easy. Not sure I’ll use this much but it’s a nice benefit if you do
Hoping for Instacart to extend the express membership for chase cardholders.
