Delta joins JetBlue, Alaska, and American airlines in announcing the waiver of change fees. Delta is doing it differently in only waiving fees for international bookings. This travel waiver allows customers to make a one-time change to their itinerary without incurring a fee. The waiver applies to all travel outside the U.S. as well as Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Â Delta will waive change fees for all flights booked between March 1 and 31 to any international destination.
- You’ll be able to rebook travel through February 2021.

Had trip to London and Edinburg booked for May 8 to May 20. No problem canceling, got points and money refunded. Did online, no hassle. Cant say the same about British Air yet.
I have an international Delta flight that I booked on 7 March using credit card and Delta gift cards. I have a question and cannot get through to Delta to ask them, so I want to ask other people their experiences. I’m an American who is on the other side of the world, and I will be trying to get back to the U.S in April. Long story but I also cannot stay where I am for longer than the end of April. With countries closing their borders, it is making things complicated to plan the flights back to the U.S. Long story short but I also cannot stay where I am for longer than the end of April. I haven’t tried making any changes to my ticket yet on the Delta web site. How many changes can we make to tickets for free during this time? Is it only one time where the change fee is waived? Or are we able to change multiple times? I could see having to make 5 – 6 or more changes before this whole crisis is over as the situation is evolving every day. Also, if I cancel the ticket, and it becomes an “e-credit for future flight” can it be booked again multiple times? I mean, can it be booked again using the credit, cancelled again (if necessary), and rebooked again, etc? Basically I’m just seeking any answer on whether multiple changes and multiple cancellations to e-credit and rebooking is being allowed. I can’t get the answer from Delta because I can’t get through.
Currently on vacation. Using twitter, was just allowed to move up our return date of a round-trip ticket. No fees, and weren’t charged the difference in fares. Even swap. Original ticket was booked using miles /nonrefundable economy. Flight originally booked in January for travel dates of 3/2-3/28.
Any idea for refunding skypeso award tickets on delta during this travel time?
I have asked on twitter @delta and they said they will get me back my skymiles. It has not hit my account but when it does will let you know.
Amazing. Delta has a flexible policy for all tickets, Alaska doesn’t. Pretty easy to see why DL is stealing market share in Seattle.

My son was to travel to Milan mid March. Of course trip was canceled. Non refundable flight booked in the fall. Spoke with someone who said would have to cancel and travel before a year. Canceled and a full refund was issued? Idk why but I am not asking……
Yes. Spoke with someone. Told me cancellation fees. Talked to travel insurance people. Told me not covered. So wentonline and cancelled on Saturdaym Thought I’d have the funds less the $300 in a Delta Credit. On Monday the funds fully refunded to my credit card. A great surprise!
Want to provide a DP: Delta twitter is extremely helpful, if you can give them a good reason why you need to cancel there’s a good chance they will waive it for you. I booked an award tix to MNL and from TPE and told them due to the virus I was having concerns, the rep offered to change or cancel for me without any fees. This was two weeks ago
Can confirm with another DP. Booked two award flights separately, one flight 3/19, other on 4/10. Delta twitter rep responded yesterday after 3 hours (phone wait time was over 4 hours), refunded the miles, and waived the two refund fees.
I wonder if they refunded because it was an award flight. I’m guessing they would only do a voucher for a cash flight

Delta Twitter DM rep just took care of my cancellation with no mileage redeposit fee and refund of taxes.
Just a DP. We booked a domestic flight for our son using mileage in Feb and the trip (3/15) needed to be cancelled due to CoVID19 in CA since the event was cancelled yesterday (3/3). Chat with Delta rep online and she refunded us all mileage and fee. I think you should try to contact Delta.
