  • Cardmembers can earn a maximum of $10.

Our Verdict

Originally I thought it was a limit of $100 cash back, but only $10 kind of sucks. I guess they learned their lesson after the generous Apple Pay promotion last year. Walmart Pay itself looks pretty awful, it relies on scanning QR codes and I can’t really see it taking off anytime soon.

i am still in my introductory first year – so my cash back bonuses double – so this can be a great deal at 20%. I may look to see what kind of gift cards they sell other than store cards.

I think this one is targeted.

REQUEST: Would somebody who sees this offer please report whether or not they have to click something to enroll in the offer?

For those of us who shop there anyway but tend to use some other card it would probably be worth using our Discover (via Wpay) even if we aren’t targeted, if there doesn’t seem to be an opt-in.

I have a Walmart Credit Card. My offer said use Walmart pay and receive a $10 credit. I just used it and received an email that allows me to use the credit. Next Walmart purchase open Walmart pay and press credit to use the $10

I’d also be curious to see if this deal has any chance of working for those of us who were not targeted/notified via email. Has anyone been able to confirm offer activation through any means other than the initial targeted offer email – e.g., at discover.com after login, or via phone/chat with CS rep?

The $10 max sucks.

However I shop at Walmart and I like using Walmart Pay.

Its not as fast as Apple Pay but pretty good. You can scan the code at the beginning of the transaction while the cashier is scanning. he biggest thing I like is e-receipt.
