[Expired] Donate To Miles4Migrants & Earn Aeroplan Miles (1.33¢ Per Miles)

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Aeroplan and charity Miles4Migrants have partnered to offer aeroplan miles when you donate to Miles4Migrants. For every $100 you donate you’ll receive 7,500 miles (up to $1,000 in donations or 75,000 miles).

Our Verdict

This works out to 1.33¢ per point. I don’t think you’d be able to claim a deduction on this (but consult a tax professional) but still could be a good deal if you want to support miles4migrants anyway or think 1.33¢ per miles is a good rate (or a combination of the two).

It is quite eye-opening how many illiterate nincompoops we have in this comment section, seeing as the Miles4Migrants program is for LEGAL immigrants only.

It’s more so that they don’t care – they’re just hateful racist bigots who think they’re better than everyone else. Losers typically have that mentality.

Looks like they have reached their goal.
We can maybe close this thread and mercifully the comment section also.

I misread this as Miles4Migranes. Not sure what this says about me as a person.

These comments are insane lmao. Immigration increases the labor pool and increases demand for housing, which reduces wages across the board due to vertical pressure, and increases housing prices due to, again, vertical pressure. And the people in the comments supporting it just say “be better” – no actual argument, just an attempt at shaming. “Accept a lower standard of living, because… a couple of billionaires said you should because they want to pay you less and make more money.”

But of course, moderation online only allows people supporting immigration, not the people trying to protect themselves and their countrymen from being pushed toward modern feudalism who oppose it.

If your wages are going to decrease due to an influx of unskilled laborers, maybe you should get gud…at life.

Flooding the labor market with cheap scab labor causes upward pressure at all levels. The same is true for housing.

This argument is so overplayed, and the reason billionaires use it to convince you that massive immigration is good is because people don’t understand very, very basic market pressures. If a cheaper portion of the market is flooded to the point of becoming valueless, it has knock-on effects all the way up, decreasing wages all the way up. Similarly, if the bottom of a market (housing) is completely emptied by demand, it increases demand all the way up – increasing rent and home prices.

The people saying “be better” should have no problems housing these illegals in their own private homes. Right? Their hypocrisy is hilarious and so easy to expose.

It also increases innovation and the overall GDP providing wealth for all through increased taxation.

How does taxation increase my wealth?

Government can provide you with better roads, better health care programs, better educational programs for your kids, etc.

They could also lower your tax bracket, if there is more tax income for the country, and your tax money is no longer as necessary.

Flooding the labor market with cheap scab labor causes upward pressure at all levels. The same is true for housing. That lowers wages and increases housing prices. And GDP has been almost completely disconnected from median personal wealth in literally decades. The stock market has nothing to do with the bottom 90% of the country, and only very little impact on the next 8%.

Billionaires and corporations benefit from this enormously. You do not.

Is there a “send them back” option, or is the “charity” import-only?

I think it might be tax-deductible if miles aren’t legally considered currency (which is generally the case) or the stated value is lower than expected redemption values.

If they are arranging flights for Illegal “migrants” to go back home, then I’m all for it. We’re all full up here. They need to either migrate home or keep “migrating” to Canada. We don’t have enough resources to care for homeless American citizens. We don’t have enough resources to care for American Veterans.

Recently, in Polk County, they arrested a cartel of migrants smuggling Fentanyl. This one arrest netted enough Fentanyl to kill every man, woman, and child in Central Florida. In the past three months, enough “migrated” Fentanyl has been seized to kill every man, woman, and child in the state of Florida.
